Over the millennia, sand drifting from mainland Australia formed Fraser Island. Known as K’Gari─paradise─in the local Aboriginal language, the island boasts an incredibly diverse landscape with sandy beaches, giant sand dunes, lush rainforest and more than 100 lakes.
Your Fraser Island hiking experience includes camping equipment such as a tent, hiking backpack and cooking gear, plus maps, itineraries, permits, and return 4WD and barge transfers that take you from Hervey Bay to the starting point on Fraser Island for the self-guided hike. You will receive a full safety briefing and information about what to expect on your Fraser Island hiking adventure. All you need to bring is your personal gear and food for your trip. The hiking trails call for a moderate level of fitness, so come prepared.
Day 1: Hervey Bay to Fraser Island Lake Wabby
Your hiking adventure starts with a courtesy pick up from your accommodation followed by a full safety briefing and equipment check. Your driver will take you on a 4WD adventure from Hervey Bay to the eastern beach of Fraser Island. You will be dropped at the entrance to Lake Wabby, where you can enjoy a lunch stop, then by the afternoon your hiking adventure begins with an exciting 3km hike into Lake Wabby, where you spend your first night camping under the stars at the hikers camp!
Overnight: camping at Lake Wabby
Day 2: Lake Wabby Lake McKenzie
Have a swim in the emerald waters before packing up and hiking through untouched Rainforest to Lake McKenzie. Set up camp at Lake McKenzie where you will have it to yourselves, swim at the secret hikers beach or enjoy a magical sunset and sunrise in paradise! Walking Distance approximately 12km or optional 22km via Central Station.
Overnight: camping at Lake McKenzie
Day 3: Lake McKenzie Hervey Bay
Enjoy an early morning swim and peaceful moments by the awe inspiring beauty of Lake McKenzie. After morning tea or lunch, enjoy a moderate hike 8km or optional 13km out to the barge at Kingfisher Bay Resort. If you like, arrive early at the resort for a refreshing beverage or meal at the restaurant before meeting your driver. Meet your 4wd transfer by 4:30pm to get transferred back to your car or accommodation in Hervey Bay.行程概要出發地點

3 Day Hike all equipment included from East to West coast of Fraser Island. Camping permits, barge transfers, 70L backpack, all camping and cooking equipment needed, maps and itineraries. Sleeping bags and rain jackets can be hired additional $10 per item.費用不包括
Food and drinks - consumables are not provided. Bring your own sleeping bag / rain jacket or hire one on the morning for $10 each. This is a self guided hiking trip, you will not have a guide with you on the hike. This is not a driving tour and driving of the 4WD is not permitted by hikers.
