Day 1: Darwin Kakadu National Park (L, D)
We depart from Darwin bright and early for the short journey to Litchfield National Park. Explore the waterfalls, spring-fed streams and rugged sandstone escarpments of Litchfield National Park. Discover intriguing cathedral and magnetic termite mounds and swim, hike and explore Florence and Wangi Falls and enjoy a picnic lunch.
After lunch we leave the highway behind and hit the dirt travelling along the Marrakai Road before joining the Old Jim Jim Road taking us deep into Kakadu National Park. Travelling past billabongs and traversing water crossings bringing ample opportunity for wildlife spotting. Arrive at our private campsite complete with comfortable permanent tents at Cooinda where we spend the night enjoying dinner and some stargazing.

Day 2: Yellow Waters, Nourlangie Aboriginal Site - Bowali Visitor Centre - Ubirr Art Site - Kakadu National Park (B, L, D)
Awake for breakfast this morning before joining an iconic Yellow Waters Cruise. A must do activity within Kakadu National Park, the award winning Yellow Waters cruise is Aboriginal owned and centres around a spectacular billabong system that is home to some remarkable and diverse wildlife. Spotting crocodiles is only one of the many wildlife viewing opportunities on this unique water system.
Departing camp we travel to nearby Nourlangie Rock. Here you can see how local Aboriginal people lived in this area through changing times. Environmental and social changes are reflected in the rock art and in the ground, where archaeologists have uncovered over 20,000 years of Aboriginal occupation.
After lunch visit the Bowali Visitor Centre, a Gun-djeihmi name for the local area and creek on land owned by the Mirarr clan. See the audio-visual presentations and Marrawuddi Gallery showcasing Aboriginal art by artists from within Kakadu and the wider region.
Later this afternoon we arrive at the culturally significant Aboriginal art site, Ubirr, located within the East Alligator region of the park. Here you will view a wide range of ancient Aboriginal art which will be interpreted by your guide. Learn the story of the Rainbow Serpent and climb the Nadab Lookout for panoramic views over the floodplain and beyond into Arnhem Land. After learning about the area, it’s time to pick out a quiet spot to sit while we watch the sun set over the Kakadu escarpment before making the short journey to our private and permanent campsite for the night.

Day 3: Kakadu National Park Twin and Jim Jim Falls (B, L, D)
Today the jewels of Kakadu National Park await. Departing early we travel to Twin and Jim Jim Falls*. Explore Twin Falls Gorge which is accessed by 4-wheel drive track, a boat shuttle service and a rocky walking track and boardwalk. Once there relax on the sandy banks and admire the falls. There’s more 4-wheel driving as we make our way to Jim Jim Falls where a walk through monsoon forest and over boulders takes us to the waterfall and plunge pool which are surrounded by 150 metre cliffs.

Day 4: Kakadu National Park - Gunlom Fall, Edith Falls - Katherine region (B, L, D)
Today, the pace relaxes as we head into Gunlom Falls for a full morning to enjoy all this spectacular area has to offer. Relax around the lower plunge pool before hiking to the top of the falls where an amazing view is on offer whilst you enjoy the many rock holes. For the energetic you can hike to the rear fall where you will be rewarded with a swim under the waterfall. After a tasty lunch, it's all aboard as we travel on to the Katherine Region. Later today stop at Edith Falls for a refreshing dip in the plunge pool before retiring to our private campsite near Katherine for dinner, good company and a well deserved rest.

Day 5: Katherine Gorge Nitmiluk National Park - Darwin (B, L)
It's up early this morning to get into Nitmiluk National Park (Katherine Gorge) before the masses for a boat cruise, canoe (seasonal), a scenic breathtaking flight over the Gorge System (all optional and own expense) or walk along the sheer rock walls that make this place so spectacular. Spend some time exploring the spiritual home of the Jawoyn Aboriginal people before enjoying lunch. Afterwards, we visit the awards winning *Top Didj Cultural Experience. Interact with Top End Aboriginal artist Manuel Pamkal and ask questions about aboriginal culture whilst being educated on the significance of his painting style, weapons used and how he lived off the land. Later on, it’s time to sit back and relax for your journey back to Darwin.飯店接送

A wonderful trip. However the info from both viatour and the supplier was inadequate. Proper trip notes as provided by tour operators such as explore and exodus would be of great assistance

Each person in our family loved this trip. There were 4 families in total 17 people in our tour group. We didn't know each other but all got along. All children were roughly similar ages 8-15. The tour guide - Adam - made this a unique experience for us, with all of his knowledge, humor and energy !! The camping, assisting with meals, lighting the fire and sitting around was wonderful. Kakadu was amazing. So much to see and learn. Katherine Gorge my personal highlight was exceptional. We took the Boat tour option which covers 3 gorges of the 13. Had we walked or canoed, children would have found it hard going as it is quite hot and the distance is quite far. Also there is no swimming ! The additional highlight of the boat tour is that the guides are very informative and seek out crocodiles for us to see. A must !! The numerous waterfalls we visited across the 5 days with stunning vistas and swimming opportunities are definitely not to be missed.. So very beautiful ! Kids loved every second of the swimming and jumping off ledges. Our final day was also great fun, we stayed at a working Cattle station, where there was a whip display that we could also get involved in... and did ! There were many laughs to be had ! our final day at Leichfield National Park was a waterfall extravanagza... great way to finish. So much to see and do. We really have had an amazing time, lots of adrenaline, lots of learnings and cultural enrichment and of course a stack of memories we have forever with us ! Thank you.

A tour in 35 degrees of humid heat was always going to be a challenge and to some extent the scenery also was predictably 'Bush' without huge variety. So overall things like meals and campsite comfort were quite important and to some extent this was a weakness in this tour. Nathan our guide was exceptionally knowledgeable and worked hard re driving and early starts, etc. However he was also lacking in some of the sensitivity and awareness of whether the balance of events was suiting everyone. Perhaps you would call it Aussie straightforwardness but with all European clients ( and I speak as an ex guide ) perhaps he needs a little more 'caring' attitude at times. Personally I didn't mind it, so despite some food supply problems and lack of generous relaxed meals ( and e.g.no courtesy drinks supplied despite the relatively high trip cost ) I JUST found myself happy overall. Others told me they were not!

This tour was sensational. We learnt a lot about aboriginal cultural . Saw the most amazing landscapes and sunsets. Our guide was fantastic with a great sense of humour and a good knowledge of the places we visited, very accommodating. We live in a wonderful country. I would highly recommend this.

Trip was great Guide was very experienced and informative about culture, wildlife and vegetation. My husband and I are in our late 50's and most of our group were of a similar age Fitness however within the group was qite different The tour guide however adjusted trip so alternatives were available on each walk sothat all of us were catered for

This was one of my to do thing in my bucket list, and I am more than pleased that I went.
Apart from having my sons with me on this adventure I had a great group of people with me from all walks
of life and ages. Me at 70 the oldely to a young lady from Switzerland and all ages between.
Our tour guide Tom was knowledgeable and mixed in as one of us at all times not forgetting our safety
and imparting his knowledge of the area to us. -
We had great tour guides and luxury camping facilities, long days but worth it when you get to the waterfalls and swimming places, walks and rock climbing was great food great and plenty of it, met people from Germany, Spain and Switzerland they were so friendly weather great and they even dropped us back to collect our luggage and took us to our hotel very much appreciated, had a great time do it before you get too old so you enjoy it!
