Australia Zoo is too good to rush, and you'll have almost 6 hours to spend here. All the zoo's many educational shows and demonstrations are supervised. Learn about Australia Zoo's several various national and international conservation projects, endangered species programs and breeding programs such as tigers, cassowaries, Tasmanian devil, cheetahs, elephants and crocodiles.
Step aboard Steve’s Safari Shuttle and explore all that Australia Zoo has to offer including the newest exhibit Africa! Experience the wide open plains of the African Savannah and see exotic animals such as giraffe, rhino and zebra interacting together. See snakes, free-flight birds and learn more about crocs in the world-famous Crocoseum show and be awed by this prehistoric creature.

We got picked up for this trip at the central bus station. Our bus driver was very good and gave us tips on how to explore the zoo with the time we had, including updating us on expected rain and where not to be when it started! To be in the croc arena where I had watched Steve on tv was great but seeing a film clip of him on the big screen made both my wife and I sad.
Excellent shops and restaurant here and water top up points around the site.
Filming was going on for ' Crikey it's the Irwins' when we were there and Bindi actually said hello to my wife which made her day. Steve you have a beautiful and talented family. -
A very comfortable environment where animals are out and about with handlers, and encompass a large area of their own mingling with the crowd - roos. I found that based on expectations, I was disappointed in the layout, paths for foot navigation and signs. There needs to be more and clearer signs. While the train has a logical path around the Zoo, the pedestrian path is momre of a maze. Sins from one end of the park and from point A to B neat to be re-engineered. On the other hand, the shows and animals are in a special place, with special people which makes this Zoo unique. Pet and mingle with the roos, be on a train while a handler is walking a cheetah as if it were a cat. The stories and efforts of conservation of species is thrilling.
Croc Express was worth the money as a tour. Our tour guide Chris was outstanding, clear, precise and funny. You are there a full day.

This was an amazing trip and one I am so happy I did. I would recommend it to anyone. There is so much to see and you do get close to the animals.

Excellent tour, although weeks later it is not as easy to recall and review. we loved the noon show with the trained birds and the crooks - very well done. Was very hot and humid the day we were there but did get a chance to pet Koalas, feed the Kangaroos, and see the tired Tasmanian Devil. Overall, a not to miss tour if you are in the Brisbane area.

Sadly it monsooned down for 2 hours when we first got there all the way through the Croc experience in the massive main stadium. This is a great Zoo with the usual walk through areas of Australian wildlife that you would expect. We stayed in Surfers Paradise which unfortunately made for an over 2 hour trip there and back. Maybe not quite the same Zoo since the great man has departed but still worth a visit.

Excellent zoo but would advise to take own food as the food hall only ok.

trip to everyone. -
Wow!! Best trip yet! So full of knowledge and enthusiasm, the croc show outstanding!! The koala holding experience very well organised (although very pricey) absolute must!!

The bus pick up and exchange at bus terminal was a bit confusing and the bus ride to Zoo takes just over an hour but Chris the driver shared a lot of good information with us. The bus itself needed some repairs as the diesel smell was quite strong. We has 6 hours at the zoo to see the shows and animals. Loved the koala bears . It was raining all day so it wasn't busy. The zoo is worth going to.
