After being picked up from your hotel, relax on the scenic drive to Uluru - Kata Tjuta National Park, and spot Uluru in the distance. En route, listen to your expert guide's overview of Uluru and the Aboriginal people, who have lived near Ayers Rock for the past 22,000 years.
Stop at a viewing platform to see the spectacular domes of Kata Tjuta, formerly known as the Olgas. Then follow your guide on a gentle one-hour walk along a rocky trail through Walpa Gorge, known for its desert plants and animals. While walking, listen to your guide's commentary about the local flora, fauna and geology, and receive insights into the desert environment you're passing through.
As the sun dips toward the horizon, your tour continues to the Uluru Sunset Viewing Area, taking you through the national park and past the unusual sight of camels making their way through the desert.

very knowledgeable guide great bbq and a great lecture on the stars so much easier to detect at Uluru than in Sydney

Great for a short time line. We had limited time and this was a great way to see both Kata Tjuta and enjoy the Uluru sunset.
We went back for the sunrise ourselves the following morning.
The tour guide helped us understand for both. Good value. -

Kata Tjuta is a less popular but even more amazing rock formation. I loved walking around seeing the desert. Sunset at Uluru was nice, we were able to eat some snacks before the dinner. A great afternoon with amazing views of the desert.
You do need a National Park Pass and will have to buy ti separately. I was disappointed it was not mentioned or included in the description. -
A very good tour, a "must do" when in Ayers Rock!
