Meet near the water tank on the side of Adelaide House, the town's first hospital in the middle of the Todd Mall.
Features of the tour include the John Flynn Memorial Church, Papunya Tula and a potted history of the Indigenous Art of Central Australia. Discover the Nishan E Afghan park and a tribute to the cameleers of old, the Neville Shute Memorial public library, sacred trees, a visit and optional sit in the dry Todd River bed.
Next, visit Alice Springs first purpose built theater (now the YHA), the ghost of her first hotel - The Stuart Arms, the Residency, courthouses old and older, the first school and finally Uncle's Tavern.
