Your trip begins with check-in at the rafting office thirty minutes prior to departure. It's best to bring a swimsuit or clothes you might not mind getting wet in, if you and your party so choose. Changing rooms are available to anyone who needs them. After check-in, you are shuttled to the river, where you will receive a life jacket, pose for a family photo and then be on your way!
This scenic trip is the perfect rafting option for those families who have members that may be too young for whitewater rafting. A guide will expertly row your raft down the river, avoiding major rapids but hitting a few fun splashes, and allow you to swim, if you'd like. Bring your waterproof cameras along to ensure you capture every moment. It is not uncommon to see wildlife such as Osprey birds, geese, deer and maybe even an eagle. Plus, the beautiful Gallatin and Absaroka mountains sit to the east of the Yellowstone River and provide a spectacular view. Unfortunately the scenic cruise didn't have enough sign ups so Wildwest Rafting put us in the white water rafting experience.it was great! Staff outstanding. Would do again.

When we asked the family their favorite memory from our week long trip to Yellowstone, it was the scenic float!!! Our guide, Christopher, was outstanding, told us so much about the area, kept us entertained, some of the family went for a swim... we loved every second of it, wished we could have gone longer. Thank you!!!

A definite must-do if you are visiting Yellowstone or the area. Our guide Jeff did a great job of keeping everyone involved and always made sure our comfort levels were met on the scenic route. Having never been rafting and a little afraid of the water this was a perfect pace for floating down the river with the occasional slash. Jeff did all the work so no need to row. I personally want to try the next step up from here for a little more excitement. The kids had a great time and had the opportunity to ride at the front of the raft.. Literally the very front nose so they got the experience of rafting. Not much wild life to be seen except we did get to see a Bald Eagle but that was a daily occurance at Yellowstone.

Great trip! Our guide, Kyle was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. We went with Wild West Rafting in Gardiner. Just to note, this trip takes place on the same portion of the river as Wild West Rafting's Half-Day Rafting on the Yellowstone River. On the Rafting trip, Kyle rows you into the rapids. On the Scenic Float, Kyle rows you around the rapids. He is a very skilled rower. Our feet got wet, but they provided us with water shoes. It was overcast that day, and they also provided us with light rowing jackets.
