Meet your guide after making your way to the US Navy Memorial, conveniently located on Pennsylvania Avenue. Take a moment to look around the memorial, a large outdoor plaza that honors all who have served in the US Navy. Then board your comfortable air-conditioned coach and relax as you travel with a professional guide who shares the stories and history of each location as well as an overview of Washington DC’s past and current events.
Disembark at your next stop, the Jefferson Memorial, and walk inside the iconic dome that honors Thomas Jefferson, one of the most important Founding Fathers as well as third President of the US. After taking it all in, head to the US Capitol building, seat of the US Congress.
You'll have time to explore sites like the Vietnam Memorial and Lincoln Memorial, and view the front of the White House from outside. Stepping off the bus with you at each stop, your guide shares informative commentary about the places you visit and their significance to the nation.
From mid-March to mid-October, your tour features a Potomac River boat cruise. During the off-season, you'll instead stop at the Pentagon City Mall for shopping and lunch (own expense) before continuing your sightseeing in the afternoon.
After a 6-hour tour and an intimate perspective on the city’s most famous memorials and landmarks, your tour ends at the US Navy Memorial in the late afternoon.

Brilliant tour! We got to see the White House and all the different national monuments and memorials which was all the more made more interesting by our tour guide Brian who was very knowledgeable and entertaining. Washington DC is a fantastic city, steeped in history. Highly recommend doing!

This tour filled a good day.
It was a shame that they were doing remedial work on the Capitol Building, it had scaffolding around it, and the Mall was dug up with turf replacement going on.
We missed out on the Jefferson Memorial but all the others gave us a good insight to the pride and respect Americans give to their history and armed forces. It was a moving experience.
Our guide was knowledgeable and gave a good, humorous, commentary of each site.
Seeing Washington DC from the Potomac River was also good, but lunch on the boat was a bit of a shambles. There werent enough tables and chairs for the number of tourists on the boat.
I would recommend this tour to get a good look at Washington Mall and the associated Memorials when time is restricted by a short visit to Washington DC. -

Great tour, Andy our guide was both knowledgeable and passionate about the history of the DC area. His understanding of the social context that was behind each monument or museum was tremendous. Rahel our driver was very competent and polite. She was always at the curb when we arrived back, no waiting! Would highly recommend not only this tour, but both of these staff members.
