Meet your guide at a convenient location near the Dupont Circle Metro station to start your Italian food walking tour (recipient of the 2015 Open Table Diner's Choice Award). You’ll learn about the late 1800’s Italian population in Washington DC and how they migrated across the metropolitan area. You will find in this area some of the best Italian cuisine the city has to offer.
Set off on foot, walking a total of about 1.5 miles (2.5 km) with your guide, at a comfortable pace. You'll stop about every 20 minutes to visit local restaurants, where you can sit down and relax while indulging in a total of four to five tantalizing food samples and one wine pairing. (Specific establishments vary day to day.)

This was our first food tour and it was fantastic. Shannon was our "leader" and she was great. The tour was just my family (a group of 5). It was as if she was a member of our familly and we learned a little history too!

We loved Dave our tour guide and would recommend them for this type of tour. Food was amazing and of course the view from the Cairo Building. Thanks again.

We had a lot of fun. The tour was led by a knowledge guide who made the group feel comfortable and at ease. The food our guide had chosen was spectacular. This was our first small group food tour and based on our experience here we will be going on many more.

We've been on Food tours all over the world and frankly, this one was not worth the time. We went to three different restaurants, that were ok, but nothing outstanding. Most of the food tours we've been on talk about the local history of some of the area as you pass it. This one not so much. She did stop occasionally and told us about a few buildings, but we were in a historical part of town, Embassy Row, and we didn't get anything on our 30 minute walk around that area. The last place wouldn't let us sit inside, so we had to eat chocolate dripping Cannoli outside on a napkin. Couldn't use the restroom either. We left.

Great way to know about history and Italian cuisine in Dupont circle. Great food and also very friendly and knowledgeable tour guides. Small group.

Great food tour. It was interesting to hear the history of the restaurants and buildings. Would recommend to anyone wanting to have a relaxing time with tasting food.

This is a great tour. The food was fabulous. The guide was great. You never once feel rushed or hurried. You will walk away from this tour full It's a great time.
