From the Skagway cruise port, you'll be transported back to the late 1800s on this unique shore excursion. Upon your arrival at the historical, Gold Rush-era Liarsville Camp, you will be greeted with a mouthwatering assortment of warm and cold Alaskan dishes, served alfresco in the forest. Feast on Alaskan-caught wild salmon grilled over an open alder-wood fire, and enjoy Chilkoot chicken, Panner's pasta, Prospector Pete’s reindeer beans, Liarsville rice medley, Sluice Box slaw and other fresh salads, plus cornbread and blueberry cake for dessert. (Beer and wine are available for purchase.) This delicious meal also includes a visit to an 1898 replica campsite.
At Liarsville Camp, you’ll discover how the prospectors of yesteryear survived while they were searching for gold. Converse with colorful, in-costume period characters, from gold-diggers to gold-digging madams, and enjoy this glimpse of life during the Klondike Gold Rush. Visit the Fancy Goods Gift Shop to find the perfect souvenir, and have your picture taken with the camp's mascot, an adorable Alaskan malamute named Denali.

If you are docked at the Ore or Broadway dock please meet at the TOUR KIOSK AREA located beyond your ship’s pier security.
If you are docked at the Railroad Dock (located on the far right at the base of the mountain), proceed through ship security and continue walking north on the SEA WALK towards downtown. Our tour representative will meet you at the “Small Boat Harbor Sign” located on your left just past the restroom building.
Take careful note of your tour departure time noted above and please be at the designated location 15 minutes prior to departure time.
When you arrive at the meeting area, look for the Alaska Travel Adventures tour representative. They will be wearing a red jacket/shirt and a red hat. Look for our distinctive Caribou logo. Have your tour voucher ready to show the representative so that they can direct you to the appropriate transportation.

The salmon and food were all very good. The setting and entertainment were also enjoyable and some very talented performers. I could have done without the gold panning portion as by then it was getting a bit long.

The lunch was good. Be sure to get a piece of salmon that hasn't been overcooked. The blueberry cake is SO GOOD! Leave room for a second piece. Beer is available for a cost. After the meal, you can wander through the old prospector's campsite as well as the gift shop.

This was really amazing-loved the salmon buffet! Went back three times for salmon!The program was great, gift shop wonderful. It was a great experience.

The food was very good. The show was very shortf but enjoyble. The displays of life at the time of the gold rush were about what you would think. No real interaction between visitors and the actors assuming the character of gold rush citizens.
