Take an iconic ferry boat from downtown Seattle, across the Puget Sound, to Bainbridge Island on the way toward Olympic National Park.

A scenic drive from the ferry terminal toward Olympic National Park.
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes
Stop At: Hurricane Ridge Visitors Center, Olympic National Park, Washington
Nature walks in the highest point accessible by vehicle in the National Park. A stunning sea of mountain peaks (depending on the weather).
Duration: 2 hours
Stop At: Crescent Lake, Olympic National Park, Washington
Giant ancient trees on the shores of a peaceful glacial lake.
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes
Stop At: Marymere Falls, Port Angeles, Clallam County, Washington
Peaceful nature walk to a beautiful waterfall hidden among giant old trees.
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes
Stop At: Elwha Dam Removal Site, Port Angeles, Clallam County, Washington

We knew we could navigate the Seattle area ourselves. However, the mountains and surrounding areas were challenging and we really wanted to get a taste of the beautiful area! Our Viator tour was worth every penny!!
We had two ferry rides which allowed us to snap some great photos of the Seattle skyline. We snowshoed Hurricane Ridge which was my number one objective for our day. We also visited a waterfall and a wonderful beach. We saw a totem pole receiving its finishing touches. We had a great breakfast, a wonderful picnic lunch and some yummy snacks throughout the day. We happened upon an area where trees were being cleared. Very cool to see the trees being packed up and headed to their new life.
Our guide, Sean, was delightful. He was VERY knowledgeable and taught us much about the Olympic National Park and the Olympic National Forest. He also had some wonderful stories about the area and how names and places came to be.
Our photos from the day are amazing!
Absolutely, 100% recommend this tour to truly enjoy the mountains surrounding Seattle. -
My husband and I throughly enjoyed our day in Olympic National Park with Emma as our tour guide. She is extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic.

JD, our tour guide, was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. We squeezed a lot into along day. The other folks in our group were great--personable and willing to hike. The sights were incredible. And even when the ferry broke down and we had to wait over an hour for another one, everyone remained in good spirits

In spite of the smoke haze, which limited our view, our guide, Sean, made the day fun and exciting with his dramatic storytelling, in-depth knowledge of geological history of the area, as well as his overall personal charm and interpersonal skills.

What a wonderful way to spend the day! Our guide Andrew was knowledgeable and friendly. He spoke intelligently on the park, the local area, Native American history, geology, botany and geography. His easy manner coaxed all of the touring party of 8 to share our experiences locally and around the world. Lunch was wonderfully healthy and varied. Andrew's experience allowed him to adjust the day's itinerary as traffic and the weather made views available or routes too time consuming. I really enjoyed crossing the sound on the ferry. Because it was a clear day we had remarkable views of Mount Rainier, Baker and Olympus. The walks we took were not too strenuous or long. We climbed a hill for a great view, walked out to an overlook and a wandered through an old growth forest and out to a waterfall. The vehicle was large and comfortable, so glad I didn't have to drive those windy mountain roads myself.

Great trip. Our guide was Sean and took us on a great tour of the park, hitting 3 different spots. He is very knowledgeable.

This was an all-around good day. It was like spending the day with friends...there was one other guest besides myself and the tour guide. So definitely a small group. We snow shoed on Hurricane Ridge, saw the Madison Falls, Lake Crescent and the coast. And we got very adequate time at each place and stayed on schedule. Guide was great.. personable and knowledgeable.

Absolutely sensational tour - do not miss the chance to do this tour. We couldn't believe how beautiful the Park is and we also learned a lot along the way. Absolutely would recommend it!

I really enjoyed the tour. It was very homely atmosphere, the guide Martyn took a great care of ourselves. That gave really good vibe to the group and the whole members were very nice.
