The 4-hour adventure on the Tillicum Excursion to Blake Island State Park begins at Pier 54 on Seattle's central waterfront. Relax and enjoy the magnificent scenery during the 45-minute narrated cruise from downtown Seattle.
When you arrive to Tillicum, make your way up to the longhouse along the pathway strewn with clam shells bleached by the sun. Before you enter the longhouse, take a moment and enjoy an appetizer of clams and nectar. Be sure to crush the empty clam shells when you are finished as it is the tradition to help preserve the path!
Inside the longhouse, watch as whole fish is cooked over an alder-wood fire on cedar stakes in the traditional Northwest Coast Indian style. As you finish your buffet meal, the lights dim while the myth and magic come to life in the spellbinding performance featuring Tillicum dancers.
After the show, you have approximately 45-minutes of free time to browse the gift gallery featuring artwork of local artisans or stroll along the pleasant beaches and forest trails.
Finally, board the boat and enjoy the relaxing cruise back to Seattle.

The food was great, but out entire party was disappointed with the tiny amount of salmon we got. There was beef stew to supplement, but just not the same. All of the food was delicious. The table service was very slight as there were more guests then they had anticipated. We ended up getting our own water and went to the bar for our wine. The cruse was great and the tour guide really knew what he was talking about. Everything was very informative.

We had out of town guests from San Francisco that were excited about the Tillicum Excursion. When we arrived in Seattle, the directions printed on our tickets said to go to the Seattle Aquarium to pick up our tickets. We waited in the long line to find out that the ticket pickup window had changed to a location several blocks away. We went to the “new location” to get out tickets, just in time to board the boat before it set off for Blake Island.
It was a beautiful day, so the 25-minute trip to Blake Island was enjoyable. Once at the Island, we waited in line for the clams that are served to the guest. Our guests were extra excited, as they had never experienced the PNW clams before. Just as we got to the front of the line, from patiently waiting our turn, we were told “I am so sorry, we just ran out of clams”…. WHAT???? So very disappointing!
I had assured our guests that the Dinner was Fabulous (and worth the wait) as well as the Dinner show, so we enjoyed a cocktail until we were able to be seated for our dinner. My husband (who is allergic to fish) was guaranteed that there were MANY other food items to select from, so he would not be disappointed! When we got up to the buffet, much of the food was gone and had not been replenished. The only main course item that would have been available for my husband to eat would have been the beef stew. Unfortunately, there was no beef stew left!!! My husband had salad, a little bit of what was left of the fresh fruit, some overcooked polenta and cookies. Our guests also had the same experience, they were however able to get some of the Salmon, which was delicious.
I had told them about the elaborate Dinner Show (which I had seen about 6 years prior) that had lights, music, dancing, etc… Once the show began, it was clear that something had changed. What was, 6 years ago was no longer. The stage no longer had the rock/cliff setting it had in the past, instead, in its place was a hologram type of backdrop with a storyteller, and later 3 people who jumped across the stage in wooden masks, slamming close the mouth of the mask making loud clacking noises. This “show” lasted about 20 minutes vs the 60-minute play like presentation (with elaborate displays) of the past.
We were extremely disappointed with the entire experience. We basically paid $400 for a 25-minute boat ride to and from Blake Island. -
Everyone was super nice and friendly. The salmon was the BEST! All the food was good. The rice could have been cooked a little more, but it was taste. The story telling and the dance was the best. I just wish there had been more! The island was nice. I liked seeing the eagle!!! The ship was very comfortable. I was very impressed with all your employees!

A tour that's worth the money and time. It's something different and the food was delicious.

We really enjoyed our late afternoon trip out to Tillicum, the meal and show was great and it was lovely coming back to Seatlle on the boat in the evening as the sun was setting.

This was such a great experience! The northwest native culture displayed was all that I could ask for and beyond. I came from Chicago to experience Tillicum Village and the greater Seattle area, and it not disappoint!

I experienced this years ago when they had real dancers and a real drum show. It was, I think, called Thunderdrums and it was spectacular. Since that show, I have told so many people about this and they have to experience it. Then I went a week ago and was very disappointed. They now have digital people and only three live performers. NO real drum show and it was very underwhelming. Everything else was as good as before. The food, the boat ride, and the facilities. It was just very apparent they are trying to save money by having less live bodies. Such a shame. It's way overpriced for the fake show.
