Start with a pickup from your Savannah hotel (surcharge payable) or alternatively, meet your guide at The Pirates’ House tavern in the center of town. Head inside the historical drinking house to hear tales of bygone days when unfortunate drinkers were often carried away unconscious to pirate ships waiting nearby.
After learning about the ghostly apparitions at The Pirates’ House, hop on board your bus, where you will see an onboard DVD with clips from shows like "Scariest Places on Earth" and "Ghost Hunters", and then set off to explore downtown Savannah, the city that many believe is America’s most haunted. Listen to your guide recounting tales of eerie phenomenons such as the story of the ghost at Hampton-Lillibridge House. Several exorcisms have failed to remove the malevolent spirit that resides within the haunted house.
Hear about murder and death scenes at the red-brick Mercer-Williams House, and learn about the sightings of the ghost of Jim Williams, the house’s owner who was an eccentric local antiques dealer. His story was made into a popular book, and your guide will talk about Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, as you enjoy a stop outside the formidable-looking building.
Have your camera ready to capture pictures of the spirits as you walk around; there’s a good chance you’ll see one!

This tour was not what we had hoped for. The driver was very nice but did not seem to be in character for a Ghost Tour. It was interesting to hear about the movies that have been made in Savannah but a little more local lore would have made this much more fun!
Having taken the walking tour before and enjoying it thoroughly, I did not think this tour was of the same ilk. Certainly we all know that any Ghost tour is full of 'tall tales' but this one was rote and not very entertaining. I do not recommend this tour unless you are unable to walk around the city. -
