Board your comfortable, air-conditioned coach at your San Francisco area hotel and head east to Yosemite National Park. Listen to your knowledgeable driver share fun facts about the park as you travel through the Central Valley and into the Sierra foothills. Follow the Merced River into the Sierra Nevada mountain range and arrive at the park in early afternoon.
Drop your luggage off at the Ahwahnee Hotel, where the likes of Queen Elizabeth II and John F Kennedy have stayed, before enjoying the rest of the day to explore on your own. Explore the informative exhibits at Yosemite's visitor center and use the park tram to reach various scenic overlooks. Admire the massive granite face of Half Dome, hike to waterfalls, or go rafting on the Merced River. You can also use your free time to look out for the park's legendary wildlife including black-tailed deer, marmots, golden eagles and black bears.
And it's totally acceptable to find yourself lounging around the Ahwahnee all day, too. My clients enjoyed the trip but they were unable to stay at the Ahwahnnee Hotel. They were told it was overbooked. They were put up at a different hotel, which they said was fine. But I was disturbed to be told that the Ahwahnee was overbooked, especially since we had been given a confirmation.

Yosemite itself was fantastic and well worth the trip. I have to rate the tour a one due to the service/information which could easily have led to me missing the bus back and therefore my plane home the next day.
For the trip down I was transferred from one company to another company. When I checked in I was told I wasn't booked with them for the trip back and I would need to contact the first company. I contacted the first company and was told a completely different bus company name would pick me up at 4.15 for a 4.30 departure. Luckily I was early and noticed a couple I had come down with getting on the same bus company we had come down with. I checked with them and sure enough I was on that bus and the bus was departing before 4pm.
For the price I would also say not being dropped off at your hotel and having to take a shuttle from the drop off point to your hotel is poor. The promised wifi on the bus also didn't eventuate.
The hotel itself has an amazing location in the middle of the park and a short walk to the village shop, but the rooms, particularly the bathrooms, were tired for the price.
The trip to Yosemite is worthwhile but would suggest you book with a tour not run by this company.
