Pick up your campervan at Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco. You can choose to rent for 4, 7 or 14 days, and choose from two types of fuel-efficient vans: the Malibu or the Maverick.The Malibu is a Chevy Astro that sleeps three. This extremely functional campervan is ideal for long rentals or for those on a budget. The Maverick is a Ford E150 that sleeps up to four. With large beds and plenty of storage, this option is perfect for families or those who’d just prefer a little more room. Each van provides bedding, kitchen accessories, cooler box (Malibu) or compressor fridge (Maverick), heaters and picnic chairs; tents, bike racks, snow chains, GPS and more are available at an extra cost.After cruising around beautiful San Francisco, create your own itinerary to visit a variety of destinations within easy reach of the City by the Bay. Drive north to Napa or Sonoma for some wine tasting or, for a scenic outdoor adventure, travel northeast to Tahoe, east to Yosemite National Park, southeast to Sequoia National Park or south to beautiful Big Sur on the California coast.You can also travel further south to Los Angeles for some sightseeing, or head to Las Vegas for some wild fun! One hundred miles (161 km) worth of mileage is included each day -- the destinations are up to you. At the end of your epic road trip, make your way back to San Francisco to drop off your campervan.

- My husband and I loved our campervan rental! The large van was easy to drive yet roomy enough to sleep comfortably in. We liked the freedom it gave us to drive around decide where to stay each night and the savings on a hotel room, but we also really liked that it was more comfortable than camping. When it rained all night I was very glad to be warm and dry in our campervan bed.
- This was such a great way to go "camping" in the redwoods. We got all the benefits of being outdoors - using the campfire stove and the chairs to cook dinner and make smores by the fire - but still had a level of comfort we wouldn't have in a tent.
