Our tour was great. Our guide Rebecca was knowledgeable and full of food. The macaron and apple tarts were amazing! She even let me divert to purchase a few nibbles for our Alcatraz trip. I loved this part and can’t wait to do another on the weekend!

The food tour was interesting and Torri, our guide was excellent. She gave us tidbits of history about the pier area and ferry building. The Alcatraz tour was great.

We loved the Alcatraz portion of the tour - so worth it! However, we had signed up for the Ferry Building Food tour and were not able to attend that part because of the unclear directions on the Viator email. The directions told us to go to Pier 33 - just outside the entrance to the Alcatraz tour- and meet the tour guide curbside for the tour. We never saw the tour guide. Turns out we were supposed to go to 1 Ferry Building first - a 20 minute walk away from Pier 33. The tour guide was nice enough to call me to find out where we were and if we wanted them to wait for us and I explained that, by the time we walked down to 1 Ferry Building, it would be halfway through the tour time and to please go ahead without us. Very disappointing that we paid for an additional tour and missed it because of inadequate directions from Viator. The directions need to clearly state that you are to meet at 1 Ferry Building FIRST and then go to Pier 33.

This tour was a nice package! We started the day sampling some wonderful foods from various vendors at the Ferry building. The food was fabulous, and our tour guide Carol was very informative. We left her feeling very full and ready to begin our tour of Alcatraz. The ferry ride alone is great - especially if it's a nice day. Exploring the Prison and taking the Audio Tour was so interesting. Highly recommend!!!

The food tour was a perfect way to start the day - delicious! Our guide, Tori, was brilliant. And Alcatraz is exactly what you're told it is by all and sundry - a really incredible experience that is not to be missed.

This was a good tour, nothing amazing. There weren't too many in depth stories told, just basic highlights and very scripted. It was a busy day and hard to hear what was going on.

Excellent tour. We didnt know what to expect with the food tour, but really enjoyed it. We also learned about the history of the Ferry Building, which was very interesting. Tori was an excellent guide and has a wonderful love for food. After our food tour, we had an hour to get down to Pier 33 to jump on the Alcatraz Ferry its only a 20 min walk. Everything went very smooth, ferry ride was great. We arrived at Alcatraz around 12:30 and stayed until 6. We did everything, the 45 min guided tour, audio self guided tour, 15 min video and walked around on our own. I found the history to be fascinating and there is so much to see and learn about. When we were done, we jumped on the Ferry and then walked down to pier 39 to eat. Love San Francisco. So much to see and do.

Thanks go to Karen, our culinary guide, for the great tour of the Ferry Building. The history of the building was interesting so happy it survived all the fires and earthquakes not to mention city planning. Its a great space! The information provided on each food vendor was wonderful, and Karen provided great backdrop in food history in the area and how its influence has spread across the country and beyond. The food we tasted was delicious were definitely headed back for meals and the Farmers Market. Alcatraz was as expected. The combo tour worked really well because we could walk off some of the food from earlier! The audio tour of Alcatrazs history was quite interesting and the way its choreographed works really well with a lot of people.
