Explore some of San Francisco's best coffee and beer while riding through the city's hippest (and sunniest neighborhoods) on this 5-hour bike and food tour. During your 12 mile (19km) ride, cycle through vibrant Mission District, Potrero Hill, SOMA, the Dogpatch, and the awesome waterfront of Bayview/Hunter's Point as you learn from your awesome local guide about the fascinating history of San Francisco, it's physical and cultural transformation, and its evolution into a beloved modern metropolis.
On our beautiful, off-the-beaten-path route that avoids the most infamous hills we'll get up close with the San Francisco Bay, see landmark and lesser-known craft breweries, have lunch at an eco-park and bird sanctuary, sample exceptional brews at the Speakeasy Brewery taproom, and perk up with a caffeinated refresher at Ritual Coffee Roaster's outpost in the awesome Flora Grubb Gardens. Group size is limited to 8 people, so you'll be sure to get the an engaging small-group experience.
Make your way to our conveniently located shop directly off mural rich 24th Street in the Mission. You'll be greeted by fresh Four Barrel Coffee and local treats before getting fitted to your sweet adventure bike. Led by our awesome local guide, you'll soon set off on a leisurely ride through the Mission, discovering an rich array of beautiful murals, galleries, and historical architecture as we make our way through the city's oldest and most vibrant neighborhood.
Discover the city's oldest brewery as we ride by Anchor Brewing in Potrero Hill, trace the origins of SF out to ATT Park (Giant's stadium) then bike the beautiful bayside bike paths of the tech-fueled SOMA (South of Market) neighborhood. Along the way we'll bike the former industrial heart of the city, now home to eclectic new architecture, artisan chocolatiers, microbreweries, and urban wineries, before having a gourmet picnic lunch at an eco-park and wetlands sanctuary with panoramic views of the Bay.
Once we finish our delicious lunch we'll visit the Speakeasy Brewery and taste a flight of some of the city's best local beer at their prohibition-style tap room. After a spirited time at the brewery we'll ride over for a renowned cup of coffee at Ritual Coffee Roasters, located in the lush Flora Grubb gardens, home to the largest collection of for-sale native plants in San Francisco. After coffee in the gardens we'll take a 15 minute ride back to the shop where well-earned post-tour refreshments await on our lovely backyard patio.
Please note:
The cost of beer and coffee tasting at our stops are not included in the tour (average is $10/person for a flight of beer and coffee).
Your guide will have the carrying capacity to bring along any beer or plants (size permitting) that you wish to bring home with you.
