Confirmation will be received within 48 hours of booking, subject to availability Alcatraz reservations are first come first serve, all reservations are finalized (4) days prior to your departure date. You must provide first and last names, along with ages of all passengers to confirm your reservation. If for any reason you do not provide this information within the window of time provided, your Alcatraz tour will be forfeited. Date changes are not permitted once confirmation is received Your Alcatraz vouchers / departure time will be available for pick up at 478 Post Street, San Francisco, CA 94102 up to 72-hours prior to your departure date. You are not required to pickup your Alcatraz vouchers prior to your tour departure time, they will be given to you at time of check-in on the date of your tour. The Alcatraz portion usually takes 1.5 hours to complete, with its audio tour consisting of approximately 45 minutes. You are advised to inquire on your arrival to the island as to what time the next guided tour will begin. There is no restriction on the amount of time you spend on the Island. The ferry boat service departs Alcatraz every 30 minutes and you can disembark at your own leisure Wheelchair accessible. However, passengers in a wheelchair can be accommodated only if they can get on and off the bus on their own and if the wheelchair is collapsible. Due to flight problems leading to cancellation of our flight we were a day late arriving San Francisco and missed our 0800 city tour. Thanks to the understanding of the tour operator, Gray Line, they rebooked us at no additional expense for the tour the next day. We were able to make the afternoon Alcatraz tour as originally booked and were most impressed with the entire tour including the boat ride to and from the island but best of all the audio tour of the prison was an exceptional presentation. The availability of the tram to ascend the equivalent 13 story height from the jetty to the prison was very much appreciated. The city tour the next morning was very interesting and enjoyable. The highlight was the crossing of the Golden Gate Bridge. The driver of our comfortable bus provided us with ongoing and detailed explanations of all the sights. All in all, this combo tour is highly recommended.

Had an enjoyable experience. The bus driver and tour guide was very knowledgeable. Value was very good. First time in San Francisco, so received a good overview of the city.

Couldn’t of picked a better day to see the highlights of San Francisco. Weather was amazing so could see everything clearly. Tour guide was excellent very informative.

I wish we got the very FIRST boat over to tour Alcatraz (instead of the third) so we could have had a least another 30-60 minutes. We had enough time to do the audio tour but not much time to walk around the outside. The city tour was great, lots of things to see and the 3 times we got out of the bus was great photo opportunities.

This was my first city trip via Greyline tours. It was nothing breath taking or speculator.We were a group of four (2 kids and 2 adults). We took this trip so we could stick to a time schedule - just by us it would be near impossible. While we got all the points checked off- it could have been more entertaining if the driver / tour guide was a little more entertaining or interactive. He started off by asking us not to interrupt him.

The alcatraz section was self managed. If you come at a time of year when its easy to just buy your own ticket I would do that.Main prob was a lot of messing around picking up pre ordered tickets at multiple locations for no gain.The city tour was pleasant and we saw great views and stopped at interesting spots. however, agin, a lot of dead time between the two halves of the tour. would be better if the bus picked up at pier 33 at 3.30 instead of making us meet it half an hours walk from where we got off the ferry.If I understood the process Id have done Alcatraz myself and done a half day tour separately just meeting in Union square. However none of these times all logistics are made clear at booking. Basically, its two tours badly tacked together. Nonetheless, both halves, were good, Alcatraz very worthwhile.

Brilliant day visiting Alcatraz was a real insight as to what it was like. San Francisco city tour was great .Really informative and an enjoyable experience with Viator. Well worth the money but book early to avoid disappointment

Trip was great. Well worth it. One bad thing was you catch a bus to go to a downtown location to catch another bus.Driver was great, friendly. Stops were great. Would recommend. Get your tickets ahead of time.
