This 3-hour guided tour takes you through the chocolate factories and boutique candy shops in San Francisco’s Mission District, sampling treats at each stop of course. Munch on single-origin, locally made chocolate bars as well as sweet treats like caramel and pralines. The Mission is chockablock with chocolaty goodness.
Walk through the neighborhood as the guide points out colorful wall murals and explains the neighborhood’s intriguing history. The Mission is known for its large Mexican community. Mission Dolores, the oldest surviving structure in the city, dating from 1776, is located in the neighborhood. The area is also known for its hip and funky bars, restaurants and shops.
But the neighborhood’s history is just part of this tour. You’ll stop in candy shops and sample the fare. Hit up a Mexican restaurant to sample a Latin take on chocolate: the famous mole sauce, which is poured over enchiladas, chicken or eggs, among other things. Wash it all down with more chocolate: chocolate-spiked fruit smoothies and Valrhona drinking chocolate.行程概要出發地點

- My mother and I had a great time. Our Guide was brilliant, funny, polite and knowledgeable about the history of chocolate in San Francisco and specially the Mission district. Even though she said it was his first time doing that particular tour, she was prepared talking about production and other aspects of chocolate and the Mission's history. Bring some water, you will eat lots of chocolate and some other surprising foods as well. Our Guide made the tour so enjoyable and I would definitely recommend the tour to others.
- This was an amazing tour. The guide was extremely knowledgeable about Mission's history, which was unexpected surprise. The tour of the chocolates shops and tastings was very informative and delicious. We have a lot of different presentations of chocolate including some sort of Juice from the cocoa fruit. The owners and employees of the different shops were very knowledgeable and friendly all the places were very beautiful and very welcoming.
