Starting at Fisherman’s Wharf in the morning or afternoon, get outfitted with your bike and helmet, receive a safety orientation, and get an overview of the bike route to Sausalito and Tiburon, in case you want to continue riding after your tour. Your bike comes fully equipped with a helmet, lock, bike bell, handlebar bag, rear rack for bags and purses, custom city map and detailed route suggestions. The tour is 8 miles (13 km) and lasts between 2.5 and 3 hours; you’ll make some informational and photo stops along the way, so actual ride time is about 1.5 hours.
Following your guide, set off on a mostly flat bike path through the Marina, past the Palace of Fine Arts and Crissy Field and through the historic Presidio. Hear stories about the history of San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge and capture the scenery on camera during rest stops.
Savor the excitement as you pedal onto the Golden Gate Bridge! Cycle along a designated bike path and pause to soak in a panorama of San Francisco Bay, dotted by Alcatraz Island with the stunning San Francisco skyline in the distance.
Reaching the end of the bridge, cruise 10 minutes downhill into the charming bayside town of Sausalito, where your tour concludes. Here you can lock up your bike, enjoy a meal at a waterfront restaurant, pop into the charming boutiques scattered throughout town, or continue riding up to Tiburon, a nearby peninsula town with more fantastic dining, shopping and views.
Ride back to San Francisco whenever you please, or take your bike onto the ferry and cruise back to San Francisco on what’s considered one of the most scenic ferry rides in the world. Tour guide on the bike ride was very good. Informative. He did say the ride to Tiburon was only 45 minutes and essentially one road to follow. That was not really the case. It took us a lot longer and it would have been helpful if he had pointed out which roads to keep an eye out for once we went off of the 8 bike trail. Other than that it was amazing! Highly recommend doing this while in San Francisco.

Loved this excursion! We tried the electric bikes our first time and that made it easy to get up the many hills along the way. I would recommend this excursion! Truly amazing sights to be seen by bicycle!

A must do. Best way to see San Fransisco on bike however I recommend the electric bike option as while I'm a reasonably fit 40 something its very hilly and this extra push going up hills made it for me. We took the option of the ferry back which goes round Alcatraz and saved us a half day visit as we got really close photos. Tour guide was lovely and handled all ages however it may have been even better with a smaller group.

Great tour! Host was excellent! Only gripe was the agressive cyclists on the bridge, these mad men in lycra assume they own The Bridge! Worth doing!

Everything went smoothly and were given advice for going off track also.
Would warn anyone though that the return ferry's are an absolute nightmare to handle - chaos is understatement! No warning of this and annoyed as stood outside in packed area for close to an hour.
Actual tour was very very good, although could quite easily do it yourself and hire bikes for the day -
Tour guide and scenery was great. However, bike was in poor condition and even though I mentioned it from the get go, nothing was done to solve the problem. Only at the end of the tour did the guide offer his bike once he saw that it was a mechanical defect with the bike and not the bike rider.

I really enjoyed my time! This bike ride was refreshing and reflective. We stopped for the restroom and to get coffee on the way to the bridge. Perfect weather!

Lots of fun - the guides were exceptional. Lots of good information about the history of the area and helpful riding tips!
