Your scenic flight from Salt Lake City to the Grand Canyon begins at Ogden-Hinckley Airport, where you board your fixed-wing airplane. Take a window seat for spectacular aerial views, and listen to onboard narration during the flight (2.5 hours round-trip).Fly over Utah’s Bryce Canyon National Park, and snap photos of its weather-sculpted limestone spires known as hoodoos. Learn about the canyon’s geological features as you soar above orange-hued rock amphitheaters and fins. As you cross into Arizona, enjoy bird’s-eye views above the West Rim of the Grand Canyon, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. Upon landing at the Grand Canyon's airport, head to the Hualapai Ranch Saloon for lunch (own expense).Next, prepare for stunning perspectives of the West Rim as you board a shuttle bus that takes you to multiple viewpoints, including the Skywalk, a popular optional activity that you can pay for at your own expense on the day of your tour, if you wish. This horseshoe-shaped glass platform extends more than 70 feet (21 meters) out from the canyon rim, giving you a thrilling, walking-on-air-like experience that is not to be missed. (See below for more details.)Enjoy more photo opportunities as the shuttle stops at Eagle Point and Guano Point, and visit Hualapai Village to learn about the history and culture of this American Indian tribe. After four hours on the West Rim, your day trip ends with the return flight to Salt Lake City, where you receive a Grand Canyon visitor certificate as a token of this awe-inspiring tour.Skywalk (optional):Heighten your Grand Canyon experience with admission to the Skywalk. From this dazzling perspective 4,000 feet (1,220 meters) above the floor of the canyon, take in 360-degree views of the West Rim’s staggering canyon walls.
