This 2-hour walking tour of Richmond begins at the Richmond Region Visitor’s Center. From there you will walk around the downtown and your guide will show you several monumental sights including the State Capitol Building, the oldest standing state capitol in and the first Neo-Classical building in the United States. Your guide will take you to see the White House of the Confederacy, where Jefferson Davis lived when he was leader of the Confederate Government. You will also have the opportunity to see and learn about two of the unknown architectural gems of Richmond: the Victorian Gothic Old City Hall, and Egyptian Revivalist Egyptian Building. Other sites include the the thriving early 20th Century African American community of Jackson Ward and much, much more.
Along the way, your guide will recount the stories of the people, events, and buildings that make up Richmond while emphasizing the Civil War in Richmond, as well as the Civil Rights Movement of one-hundred years later.行程概要出發地點
