    At your selected departure time, you’ll be picked up from your Palm Desert hotel or you can meet at the Ralph’s supermarket in Palm Desert. Your guide will take you on a XXX-minute drive by XXX to your San Andreas Fault destination.

    Hop aboard an all-terrain, open-air 4WD Jeep and breathe in the fresh air as you travel through rugged desert landscapes to a Bureau of Land Management Wilderness zone, part of the National Wilderness Preservation System. It’s here that you’ll encounter the most colorful portion of the San Andreas Fault in all of California. The spectrum of layers and colors will dazzle you.

    Your informative guide will teach you about the history of this world-famous earthquake fault line, which forms a continuous narrow break in the Earth's crust and extends from Northern California south to Cajon Pass near San Bernardino. As you'll learn, the presence of the San Andreas Fault was brought to world attention in 1906, when sudden displacement along the fault caused the infamous 1906 San Francisco Earthquake.

    As your guide drives you along the long desert path, capture photos of the sheer canyon walls, impressive rock formations, plants and maybe even some wildlife. You'll also get an up-close look at Coachella Valley’s vast agriculture on the drive to and from backcountry.

    After your Jeep tour, relax on the comfortable drive back to Palm Desert.
