Meet your guide at one of Honolulu’s most celebrated new restaurants, the Pig and the Lady, opened by a young Vietnamese chef who was born and raised in Honolulu. Hear the story of the family-run restaurant as you slurp delectable smoked bacon pho (Vietnamese noodle soup) and plunk a French dip sandwich into their signature pho au jus.
During the 2.5-hour stroll, your guide shares facts about Honolulu's Chinatown, one of the oldest in the United States. Stop into local eateries to sample an award-winning pizza topped with Hawaiian flavors followed by a tasting of garlic chicken and Thai fried chicken with a sweet-and-sour sauce. Try a Korean twist on a Hawaiian favorite loco moco, a dish where white rice is usually topped with hamburger patty, fried egg and gravy. Then finish off with one of the most decadent cheesecakes to be found on Oahu.
After a delectable array of tastings, your tour ends in Chinatown where you can explore further on your own or make your way to your next destination.
