Departing from Haleiwa Small Boat Harbor on Oahu's beautiful North Shore, relax on a 3-mile (5-km) cruise to your shark-filled destination. Along the way, you may see Hawaiian green sea turtles, dolphins and, depending on the season, even humpback whales!
Your safety is the upmost priority, so your expert crew will give you a safety orientation and a briefing on what to expect during your shark viewing. When you arrive at the viewing spot, strap on your provided masks and snorkels and step inside the secure shark cage. You'll then be lowered into the cobalt-blue water for a 20 minute shark-viewing adventure.
With a visibility of up to 200 feet (60 meters), you'll feel your adrenaline pump as you watch the ocean's top predators approaching you from the depths below. The sharks will swim just inches away from you, so bring an underwater camera to document this thrilling experience! Don't worry -- you're safe within the confines of the metal cage, letting you view the sharks with ease.
The sharks commonly sighted in this area are gray reef sharks, Galapagos sharks, sandbar sharks and hammerhead sharks, ranging in size from 5 to 15 feet (1.5 to 4.5 meters). The cage holds two people comfortably and can hold up to eight people at a time, depending on the weather conditions.
If you do not wish to enter the shark cage, simply continue relaxing on board -- there are ample surface-viewing opportunities as the sharks circle the boat.

Once in a lifetime experience with this excursion. We were taken about 3 miles offshore to an anchored enclosure. As soon as our boat approached, the sharks started to swim under and around the boat. The area is a crabbing and fishing spot, so the sharks assume the boat is a fishing boat (easy snacks). We were assisted into the floating enclosure by the knowledgeable staff about 10 at a time. We immediately saw 12-15 sharks swimming around! They were not interested at all in the enclosure; only the scraps they were hoping the assumed fishermen would leave behind. Feeding the sharks for entertainment is illegal, but the lack of actual food did not deter them from checking out the boat and attracting other sharks.
We spent about 20 minutes in the water. We were entertained as the other group took their turn as you can see the sharks in the blue waters from above. We were even treated to a couple whale sightings!
Whole tour lasted about 1 1/2 hours.

Amazing!!!!!! We were with our 8,12,15 grandchildren, they absolutely loved it, saw at least 30 sharks, 5Star!!!!!! Highly recommend !!!!!

For a city girl and not a water lover, I really felt it was a lifetime experience that I’m glad I did. Paulina and Mike were great and funny guides. We did see sharks!! Definitely worth it!! FYI-Don’t eat before the tour!

Captain and crew very nice and fun. Just as we were getting in the cage, the captain called it off due to very rough water. He was very sorry and we were disappointed but we really appreciated him being very cautious with our lives. We had fun anyway and hope to do the dive next time we go.

Pros: everything directly connected to sharks was well above expectations. Boat ride out and back, instructions, equipment, knowledge of crew, and most of all, being in the water with the sharks. Incredible experience being thatclose to some pretty sizable, beautiful, creatures.Cons: we see the tip jar. Asking directly for tips is beyond classless. Especially given what we paid for the trip. The van we were transported to and from should be retired, and the loud rap/ horrible/ inappropriate music and music playing driver, need to be replaced immediately. Guess what guys? Not everyone in this fading country enjoys garbage “music”. Maybe some enjoyable classic Hawaiian stuff? And the fit the driver threw after finally being asked to turn it off, was ridiculous. Slamming down his music source? Slamming the van door at stops? Really? We payed to be held captive by this guy? Overall, awesome shark experience, but for that price, class it up a little, huh?

This was a once in a life time opportunity and we got to see around 5 galapagos sharks. The only reason for the 4 stars is because a jellyfish got in the cage, and many of us got stung. But honestly this is a must go!

Took my 10 year old nephew and we loved it. 8 go out at one time, but you still have plenty of viewing room.
