I wasn't sure what to expect honestly. My husband chose this activity for us and I was a bit lackluster before going. Please don't let yourselves fall into that trap. This was so moving and awe-inspiring. I would go to this every time I visit Hawaii, should I have another opportunity. I have been to Hawaii three times and this is the first time to Pearl Harbor. Our guide was instrumental in making suggestions that made the experience even that much better. The monument moved me to tears. The story behind everything and the lives lost, lives changed forever, touched me deeply. The monument curator explained that many of the survivors have chosen to be cremated and have their ashes interned with their shipmates aboard the USS Arizona. He mentioned that there had been a ceremony just two days before we arrived. He described it as follows: The family member stands on the shore and a scuba diver retrieves the urn from them and then slowly swims backwards towards the Arizona, once he is above the area for the placement of the urn, he raises it high into the air for the family to say their final goodbyes and then he slowly goes straight down and disappears under the water. Once under, he places it into a crack in the hull with the rest of the urns. I cried and cried, still cry about this experience. It will be at the top of my list from now on.

Enthusiastic guide. Pearl Harbour well worth seeing especially USS Arizona memorial and the accompanying film. Good museums too. Enjoyed seeing Honolulu City - would have preferred slightly more time on this and a little less at Pearl Harbour.

A great day. The best way to see Pearl Harbor. Our guide was waiting for us at the world map with our timed entry tickets. It is a piece of history every visitor to Hawaii should see. It brings home just what a night it must have been and visiting allows us to pay our respects. You can take bags but you need to check them in before entering the site. The city tour was good and those of you who like Hawaii Five 0 can have your photo moment.

The tour it self was good Pearl Harbour is a must. However our tour had us picked up and dropped off at Pearl Harbour and left waiting for an hour to meet up with the rest of our tour group.
