Your Oahu scenic tour begins with a visit to Amelia Earheart Lookout for spectacular views to Diamond Head. Next, enjoy the magnificent views of Diamond Head, Waikiki, and Honolulu.
The tour continues to Queen Emma's Summer Palace as you head into the cool, lush rainforest of Nu'uanu Valley along Pali Drive. Experience the gusting winds at the summit of historic and sacred Nu'uanu Pali Lookout and look towards the beautiful coast of windward Oahu. From this vantage point you can see Kane'ohe Bay, Chinaman's Hat, and windward beaches.
As you travel around the island, you'll visit several key location which shaped President Obama's beliefs, values, and life. Along the way, you'll learn about historical events and most importantly, visit Hawaii's special place that played a key role in the youth and early adult years of the 44th president of the United States.
As you travel along the coastline on this Oahu tour, the stretch from Makapu'u Point and Sandy Beach to Halona Blowhole will be revealed. At the end of the day, you'll have the opportunity to see the landmark Koko Head Crater and beautiful Hanauama Bay (closed Tuesdays). I booked this tour because it was reasonably priced and a way to get away from the resort for an afternoon. My expectations were not really very high, but everyone in my party was greatly surprised and delighted with this tour. There were ample opportunities to get out and take photos and the best part of the afternoon was the narration of our guide Uncle Ernie. He knows everything about everyone and everything associated with Hawaii, it seems, and the jokes and playful banter between him and the group had everyone literally rolling on the floor of the minibus. He gave me a great tip about pre-ordering my Prime Rib at Duke's Waikiki when we made our dinner reservations because they run out. We could have driven around a parking lot for 4 hours and it would have still been great as long as Uncle Ernie was narrating. Throw in the sites and knowledge and this tour was a real treat.

This was a lovely tour in a big, comfortable bus that gave us plenty of picture-perfect photo opportunities. The narration was clear and quite informative. Happy tourist.

it was raining all day on this tour.. luckily we had another one --the Oahu Grand Circle Island tour-- which ended up being a gorgeous day and a much better guide.

The Diamond Head and Oahu Coast half-day Tour was cancelled due to lack of participantsBut, they generously gave us a complimentary upgrade to a Full day around the island tour...it was fantastic. Our driver Garfield was very informative and humorous. I would highly recommended this tour.
