Departing New York City, you'll drive through New Jersey and Pennsylvania to the City of Brotherly Love, Philadelphia. It's the second largest city on the East Coast, and only 100 miles (160 kilometers) from New York City.
Upon arrival in Philadelphia, you will embark on a panoramic tour that includes Benjamin Franklin Parkway, Elsert Alley (the oldest inhabited street in America) and more. Arriving in the historic heart of Philadelphia, you'll visit the famous Liberty Bell and Constitution Square and Hall, symbols of freedom in America.
Departing Philadelphia you will see the famous "Rocky Steps" before continuing to Lancaster County. After a break for lunch at the Amish marketplace (lunch not included), you'll have an authentic Amish buggy ride through Amish farm country. During the ride you'll learn how the Amish live without modern technology - no electricity, running water, telephone service or appliances.

The hub and I took this day trip on 04/15/19. Firstly, grayline should have someone at their front desk to greet and direct customers as they walk in. It was a mess with various tours all over the place and mass confusion. Secondly, don't have customers waiting outside of the bus in the rain before allowing them on the bus. The tour in itself was good, but more time could have been spent at the liberty bell and less time at the Amish place which is ridiculously over commercialized. I was disappointed with the amish buggy ride. Not what I expected. However, if you want a taste of Philly, this is it. Also there should be an opportunity for guests to shop around for souvenirs.

it sure beats driving from NYC - no need to find parking or pay tolls bus very comfortable - very informative and the philly cheese steak restaurant was also fabulous - I mean there’s never enough time but you get a great snapShot of Philadelphia - Amish tour a bucket list for me and aTrue lifeTime high light - I could have stayed in Lancaster forever ! Highly recommend

The Philadelphia could terrific , IF WE HAS A TOUR GUIDE WHO WAS COMFORTABLE WITH THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE! However he had two groups he was speaking to, both in Spanish and English, and he definitely spoke without confidence in English. This tour with have been much much better had we been in a smaller group rather than a complete bus full. The itinerary was great! However communication was poor and you seldom he was saying. He didn’t like using the mic and you couldn’t hear the little he said

Great experience - historical place in Philadelphia was a truly amazing place tour guide was well informed and did a good presentation. I really did not enjoy the Amish Country part of the trip seemed to be more of a tourist trap. As with all the tours there seems to be a lack of time to spend at each place by the tour guide - I wish Viator would allow more time for the tour guide to spend at each location so you can really take it all in.

We enjoyed it very much. The tour guide was excellent. Just the waiting area before tour needs organization.

For people who are time poor this is the tour for you, alot of bus travel through some beautiful countryside. We got to see the historical highlights of Philadelphia and the famous Rocky steps. Armish land was interesting, our horse and buggy driver Sue gave us a great insight into the Armish and how the area has changed over time and how the people maintain their beliefs and values in modern times. Fantastic driver and tour guide keep the tour runnjjng smoothly.
My only negivate I would have liked more time with the Armish people and less at the shopping market. -

The coach trip was good. Unfortunately it rained all during stop in Phili. Amish country interesting but very commercialised. Still worth it.
