Your day of fashion and fangirl fun starts early at Macy’s Herald Square. During your time inside before it opens for the day, learn about the history of this iconic department store, a National Historic Landmark that dates back to 1901, when it opened as the R. H. Macy and Company Store.
At the store's second-floor cafe, enjoy a fashion presentation of Macy's current looks and design trends from a professional stylist, who provides tips on how to put together great outfits from clothes in the store. Then enjoy an hour of time to do some serious shopping.When your credit card is safely back in your purse, hop on the tour bus to begin your guided Sex and the City adventure around Manhattan. In Midtown, see the New York Public Library (the would-be wedding site of Carrie and Mr Big), the upscale restaurant where Samantha met her elderly millionaire and the jeweler where Charlotte picked up her engagement ring.Then head downtown for a photo op of the exterior of Carrie Bradshaw’s house in the West Village, and stroll along fashionable Bleecker Street to check out some of the best shopping in the neighborhood. You’ll also visit the Pleasure Chest, the shop where the girls purchased certain toys; stop by a local bakery for a cupcake, just like Carrie once did; and see the location of Aiden’s furniture store.In the hip Meatpacking District, pass by the location of Los Dados, the Mexican restaurant where Carrie was once stood up on a blind date, and visit some of the area's many upscale designer shops.
