    Brooklyn Bridge:
    A shorter tour that's long on great photo ops. The Brooklyn Bridge is perfect for learning how to add drama with strong composition. Also, this tour affords magnificent Manhattan skyline photos. Seasonal.

    Central Park:
    Taking advantage of beautiful Central Park, this photography workshop focuses on how to take pictures of the environment. Learn the art of scouting for an image and get a quick lesson in visual editing. Depending on the season (see Departure Point), this tour meets at either the Belvedere Castle or the Bethesda Fountain, allowing you to take full advantage of seasonal changes in foliage.

    Museum Inside Out:
    This unique tour takes place inside the Metropolitan Museum of Art (admission included). Although there will be famous artwork to photograph, this photo tour concentrates on the use of light. The Met features many would-be outdoor spaces that are now encapsulated inside the building, like the American Courtyard and the European Sculpture Court. These spaces are beautifully lit by huge skylights, offering a unique opportunity to photograph several diverse architectural elements all in one setting.

    NYC After Dark:
    Join a nighttime tour in Times Square to focus on taking photos in low light. Learn how flash and long exposure work, and take memorable photos that capture the unique signs, lights and billboards of Times Square. This tour is for advanced photographers, and participants must provide their own tripods.

    Iconic New York (two choices!):
    Capture the city's most iconic sites on this fast paced tour. There's so much to see and photographs, there's two Iconic tours to choose. Appropriate for all skill levels.
    • Iconic NY - P1: Photograph Times Square, the Chrysler building, Bryant Park (home of Fashion Week), Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library. The departure time for this tour shifts with the seasons, departing in the afternoon to take advantage of the sky's changing colors during the fading light of dusk and concluding as the city lights come alive.
    • Iconic NY - P2: Snap photos of Midtown's best attractions including the Empire State Building, Rockefeller Center, Radio City Music Hall, and Central Park. Tours generally depart in the morning and afternoons.

    Tony was our instructor and it was just great. Lots of great perspectives on photography. We would be given instruction and then an opportunity to take photos and have Tony give us a critique. Loved it. Of course, that it was in Central Park made it also quite memorable.

    Great experience. I learned a lot and Zim really knows her stuff. She gave me some good pointers which will stick with me as long as I'm taking photos. With the tour only being 3 hours I felt it was over so quickly, I could have gone for another 3 hours! There is just so many fantastic locations that I suppose you have to limit it. With such a small group of 2 I was able to get one on one time which was extremely valuable. I would recommend this tour to any visitors to NYC who are keen on photography and want to extend their skills.

    Tour was good, the professional photographer allowed you to try your own thing but also gave good advice and tips. Good range of places visited and photographed. The afternoon just disappeared, an enjoyable tour.

    I really enjoyed my Photo Walking Tour through Central Park. I received personal attention from the instructor to improve my photographs. I was given a goal to photograph a sight. She reviewed the picture and then gave me tips on how to improve the composition and use the functions of my camera. I then re-shot the same picture getting the results I was trying to get. This was so valuable. I am no longer making the same mistakes over and over hoping for a different outcome. Now before I take a picture, I hear, Zim, my instructor say..."get into it, find the picture". It was great fun and I have some fantastic pictures to remember my day in Central Park.

    I really enjoyed the experience. The other guests were great company and Rocco our guide was very friendly and very experienced. He taught us a number of things and even though our experience varied we all gained photographic knowledge whilst enjoying the fantastic sights of NY. I went on my walking tour at the start of my visit and was able to use the experience during my stay, getting some great results. Thanks Rocco.

    I enjoyed the Iconic New York photo safari so much with Zim that I took a second tour with her - the Metropolitan Museum. She is just terrific. She is very articulate, can explain complex concepts clearly, and does it in a fun way. She freely shares her knowledge, photography tips, and advice.
