Once New York's most fashionable neighborhood, Harlem is home to the elegant enclave of Sugar Hill, a lovely area where famous musicians like Duke Ellington once lived. You'll drive along Strivers Row and Sylvan Terrace, see the legendary Apollo Theater and the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture.
The beautiful acapella sounds of the ARC Gospel choir during our mid-week hour of power are sure to inspire and delight you. Hear their powerful voices singing songs of praise and share their experience. ARC stands for Addicts Rehabilitation Center, the oldest drug-free treatment program center in New York State. This Gospel choir was formed to finance treatment for the people in the community in order to help them recover from drug addictions.行程概要出發地點

Harlem Spirituals Inc. reserves the right to refuse clients improperly dressed and will not refund the service What is "Soul Food" Soul Food is traditional African American cuisine that originated in the South in the United States. Today it has become a highly sought after cuisine. It consists of spicy ribs, collard greens, fried fish and chicken, freshly cooked corn bread, and a few side dishes like black eye peas, okra, or macaroni and cheese to mention a few. Do the tours include walking? Guests are invited to take walks through the neighborhoods visited. The average walk is about 15 minutes. Are the tours wheelchair friendly? With advance notice, wheelchair bound customers with some mobility can be accommodated in the front rows of the tour bus with their wheelchairs folded away in the luggage compartment. It is mandatory that someone accompany customers with special needs to assist them onto the coach. For passengers with no mobility or a non foldable wheelchairs we recommend giving at least 3 weeks notice so that we can secure a coach with a wheelchair lift. Wheelchair lifts are 49" X 28" and can carry a maximum weight limit of 700lbs. We kindly ask that you submit the dimensions and model of the chair as our lift may not be able to accommodate scooters and other large sized electric chairs. A maximum of one person in a wheelchair can be accommodated per bus. Private tours are available with accessible ramp transportation. Many of the churches that we visit have steps. Tour guide was great. But we were there on the Wednesday after new year and I don’t think they had the whole singing group there. They didn’t do what the guide said they were going to do at the end. It al ended rather suddenly. A bit disappointing.

Interesting tour. Enjoyable but being translated so many times was annoying. Otherwise the tour guide was very helpful.

Fabulous, fabulous, didn't like the food at Silvia's though, blood in the chicken , could not eat it,

A good experience but I felt it was a bit orchestrated and therefore didn't feel real to me. The choir was very good. I also went to the lunch but as I was the only English speaker in the group at my lunch table because several coach loads had been combined for the lunch I felt quite unwelcome which was uncomfortable.

Only giving 4 stars for gospel tour as I found actual tour uninteresting could have been unenthusiastic guide ,as the Gospel singing was brilliant and worth the trip

What a fun and learning tour. Tour Harlem and seeing the change in that part of Manhatten. The Gospel singers are amazing, you learn music, cultural differences and how people overcome adversity. I took the optional Sylvia's restaurant and glad I did. The food was fabulous...it was like eating at my Southern Grandmother's home! Great down home cooking. Highly recommend this tour.

Sheila was a fabulous guide - so knowledgeable and personable. We learned a great deal about the history of Manhattan including Harlem. And the choir was amazing. Each song was better than the one before. I definitely recommend this tour.
