I don't feel thrilled leaving this review. But I feel like it would be a disservice to others to not say anything about this company. Firstly, the bus audio system rarely works. Secondly, there isn't always a tour guide on board who actually talks. So if you want to learn anything about the places you are driving or even the stops coming up, you might be screwed. I will also say that while using the bus 2 times in 1 day the bus didn't pick us up. The first bus said it needed to go back to the warehouse (understood, even though it was the first round of the day) the second bus saw over 11 people waiting at the stop and literally drove past us with no response or excuse. We waited for almost an hour for a bus. And when it rained they took all the buses with covers off the route and handed you a poncho they wanted you to keep all day (several buses had no ponchos even available for the pouring rain) and no seats were available in the non ventilated first level of the bus. I would never let anyone I know use this bus company. There has to be something better and more reliable than this service.

The other hop-on-hop-off companies came around 2 to 3 times as often as this company. We often stood around for 30-55 minutes waiting for a bus to come. We wasted so much time and stood out in the freezing cold. Several times there wasn't a tour guide on the bus to provide info.

It was an awesome tour. Enjoyed it very much. This tour took you all over downtown NY and we got to see all the sights.

Started the tour on Friday 8th of March and initially found it disappointing as the head phones on the top deck didn't work for the guide. We ended up getting off the bus and walking as it was quicker due to traffic. Went again on Saturday and this was a much better experience. The traffic was better so we were able to see a lot more easier. The guide was brilliant and the driver Kevin was very friendly. The one thing we didn't realise and the guide made us aware of was that you can go on the tour boat as part of you of the deal on ticket which was brilliant !! again the tour guide on the boat was very good so in all I would definitely recommend.

This was a fabulous way to see New York and get an informative narration along the way! We found them to be often and reliable!

Service was subpar, Voucher said could validate at.any stop, not true. First tour guide was awful, said she had 33 years experience, gave her personal opinions, and continuously ‘begged’, rudely for tips, ordering people to NOT get off until she got downstairs. My last Viator/Greyline tour.

This was an excellent tour, we chose the 72 hr. pass so we were able to go uptown, downtown, Brooklyn and see the night lights. It was always more informative when there was a live person doing the narration instead of the headset version. My complaint with the tour was: You HAVE to go to the office and get tickets for Grayline, you can not just show up with your phone or printed receipt as is says in the booking info. We wasted time and had to walk from our intended starting point to the office to get tickets.

We bought two 48-hour passes and the entire process was so confusing. The company gave very little instructions and we were left asking people on the street what to do. We ended up having to go get 'tickets' at the Empire State Building and these instrcutions were not included. Even the ticket girl could have been more helpful. It seemed to be implied that we knew what to do when there was no way we could have known. I tried many times to get clear instructions online but there were none to be had. When we finally got on a bus, there were no available seats on top and no air conditioning below. The bus driver was Chinese and spoke very poor English. He was far from friendly in spite of the language difference. Our 15 minutes on the bus was the worst of our entire trip. The only reason I gave it a 2 is because our pass included the boat tour. The tour itself was fantastic although it was confusing because the name on the building is different than any documentation we had. We also travelled from the World Trade Complex to pier 78 to board the boat when we could have boarded there - only no one told us. This could be a great thing if clear instructions were given but it is not worth the money because you will spend more time trying to figure it all out or waiting for a decent seat than you will enjoying the city.

They took us to the right places. I learned a lot. I saved a lot of money and didn't have to use any ubers or taxis. The one thing I would suggest is to have better crowd control and line control. People got upset because they were skipped and they have been waiting for a long time.The employees need to better communicate with the clients.
