產品介紹
The NYC subway system is one of the city's treasures, with dramatic improvements having occurred over the past few decades. Yet it often doesn't get the respect it deserves. New Yorkers tend to take it for granted while visitors to the city and newcomers are sometimes intimidated by it, when in fact it offers inexpensive and easy access to the city’s great attractions, as well as the experience of riding on one of the world’s most impressive transit systems.
Everyone knows that NYC is one of the world's great cities for art; but not everyone is aware of the dynamic underground museum of contemporary and vintage art that spans Manhattan and the boroughs. Even daily riders often rush by some of these treasures unaware; but for those who do pause, the result can be an uplifting experience.
The Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA), through its "Arts & Design" program is dedicated to beautifying the city's many underground spaces. Explore the city's vast underground art museum, focusing on Uptown and the Bronx, and view highlights of its beautiful and diverse collection including ceramic tile, terra cotta and bright tile mosaics and other installations that will dazzle the imagination of those who take a moment to stop and look. Both world-famous and emerging artists are featured. The tours are lead by licensed tour guides with special training in the NYC underground art scene.
