We definitely had a great time exploring the whole Manhattan area. This is a MUST if this your first visiting New York. The price is definitely worth it. :

I think the tour guide we had for our tour has seen his days. He was unfriendly and had no instructions to the paying customers. I am a New Yorker and I had issues with his interaction with the customers so I can not even imagine how someone from a different country feels.

The tour took us everywhere we wanted to go downtown and mid town. We did not hop off since we had been to mid town before and walked all over. This time I was traveling with a senior who could not walk the streets and this was still a great experience to see the theatre, financial, commercial districts as well as Times Square, Greenwich Village, Washing ton Square...all the basics with a glimpse at the 9-11 Memorial.
