Learn the unique history and culture of this historical town. All food and wine tastings are included in your ticket price.
Experience a guided walking food tour, by a local foodie, to specially selected "off-the-beaten-path" food tasting locations within the quaint historic downtown square of Sonoma. The food and wine samplings on this tour will stimulate your senses and wet your appetite for more! Each tasting is served from locally-owned and operated specialty food stores and popular eateries. Many of our area chefs and owners on the tour have put their talents to work for years and only use only high quality ingredients, most of which are locally sourced right here in Sonoma.
Also, along the way you will learn about Sonoma's rich local history and architecture. All tours will be in small groups.The Sonoma Food Tour experience takes guests on a guided journey of local eateries, all within the quaint walking environment of the Sonoma Plaza. You’ll get to taste Sonoma's best cuisine, wine, cheeses, olive oil, chocolates and more. Each yummy tasting is served from locally-owned and operated restaurants and shops. We will provide you with recommendations on local attractions, specialty stores, and hidden gems in this food-filled meca. Explore Sonoma, all while gaining knowledge about its history, architecture and food scene, at the same time savoring the appetizing culinary selections. Your Sonoma Food Tour will last 3 hours and provides delicious tastings that are equivalent to a lunch.

" Vella Cheese Company - taste a variety award-winning cheeses.

My daughter and I had a wonderful time on our food and wine tour. Kaylee did a terrific job of guiding us on the tour with stories of history as well as sharing interesting facts about each stop. Great balance of places to stop. Loved that she took pictures to post on the website for us. Great experience that made our mother-daughter trip even more enjoyable.

Our guide Mia was fantastic. We tasted interesting food, wines and oils. Viator does these food tours in other destinations too! Will be looking for them in all my Vacations.

The tour was excellent as was the tour guide. It represented very good value for the money. Food was plentiful and included outstanding pizza, pasta, cheese, and chocolates. The wines were good too.

We really enjoyed this tour and highly recommend it as a great way to sample local food and wine. Mia, our tour guide, was outstanding and added interesting historical and current resident perspectives. Our tour commenced at 11AM and lasted a little over three hours and featured local tastings- cheese, Cal-Mex, wine tasting with a local winemaker, 2 course Italian cuisine with wine that also included an engaging conversation with the owner and then a chocolate stop-off. The walking was pleasant and you wont leave hungry.

Mia was a great tour guide. She planned a fun food and wine tour of the Plaza of Sonoma. My family and I had a great time walking around the plaza. The chocolate and cheese shops where my favorite.

This tour was a great way to start our vacation! Mia gave us excellent suggestions and we enjoyed the day.

Our tour guides, Mia and Mary, are Sonoma natives and are very knowledgeable about Sonoma and its history. We picked up a lot of good information on how the area was originally explored and settled and what influences shaped its history. The guides were obviously well connected in the community and arranged tour stops that seemed hand picked for our interests and tastes. We started with a snack at an excellent Italian restaurant and got to speak with the chef. We went on to visit several historic sites, a cheese shop, an olive oil shop, and a light lunch and wine tasting. A very enjoyable tour.
