Canyoneering has become increasingly popular in Utah, with great options around Moab. Expect to work out your whole body as you make your way through the canyons by hiking, rappelling, scrambling over rock and splashing through water-filled pools. No experience is needed to try it out, but participants must be physically fit and ready for a challenging outdoor adventure.
The half-day trip provides an excellent introduction to canyoneering, suitable for adventurous beginners who want a taste of the sport. The full-day trip to Robbers Roost is rated as moderately difficult and is suitable for active people that are ready for a more challenging experience. Canyoneering newcomers are welcome, but expect a full physical and mental workout.
Your guide shows you how to employ teamwork and technical canyoneering skills when rappelling, doing rope-assisted down climbs, chimneying through slot canyons and negotiating water-filled potholes. Please see Itinerary below for more details.行程概要出發地點

Half-Day Adventure (4 Hours):
Make your own way to central Moab to meet your guide for your morning or afternoon departure. Hop into a comfortable 4WD for the short drive up a rugged track to the top of Dad Gum Canyon, a place not found in guidebooks but well-known to your guide.
Before starting out, your expert canyoneering guide provides a thorough safety briefing and detailed instruction on rappelling and down-climbing techniques. You'll receive assistance to securely fasten the provided technical gear such as a harness, helmet and belay device.
Your canyoneering introduction includes a section where you can expect to get wet as you traverse several crystal-clear pools of water fed by small waterfalls, a highlight of this small slot canyon. Your guide also leads you on an amazing 200-foot (61-meter) rappel. After approximately three hours in Dad Gum Canyon, your guide returns you to Moab to end your tour.
Full-Day Adventure (12.5 Hours):
Located about a 1.5-hour drive from Moab, Robbers Roost features some of the most gorgeously sculpted red rock walls in Utah. Canyoneering here promises plenty of fun and surprises for people who are mentally and physically prepared to challenge themselves on a full-day adventure in this remote desert.
Meet your guide in central Moab, then set out by 4WD in the early morning. Your experienced guide provides a full safety briefing, and detailed instructions on canyoneering techniques and technical gear before you set out into the canyon.
Your guide chooses a route suited to your group's experience and skill level. Be prepared to rappel, climb, squeeze, swim and shimmy through narrow slot canyons of incredible beauty. Expect several sections where you hike a short distance on slick rock domes with about 1,000 feet (305 meters) of elevation change.
Your route through the canyon takes between 5 7 hours depending on the group. Your guide provides a delicious buffet-style lunch with cold water and lemonade. After an exhilarating day of canyoneering in Robbers Roost, enjoy a well-deserved rest as you're driven back to Moab where you arrive in the evening.飯店接送
