Meet your guide on Beale Street at 9:30am to begin your leisurely stroll through the tree-lined streets of Memphis.
Memphis is both a gracious old Southern city of riverboats and cotton money, and a rowdy river town of roughnecks, gangsters and gamblers. Your guide will unfold the city’s colorful history and some of the characters who have made it one of the world’s most unique and interesting cities. Along the way you’ll see:

Enjoyable guide, Dave, who took us down some of the historical aspects of Memphis and when there were historical decisions that did not work out, or some mess up by City Fathers then that was a "Mempho Thing." Good, humorous, factual or if not labeled as such. Saw the bluffs, the radio station, the Peabody Hotel, the town square, Main street, Beal Street. In other words a really good tour.

Very knowledgeable tour guide. We enjoyed seeing some of the sights of memphis. The Peabody hotel and ducks were awesome to see in person. The guide also had a way with words as he spoke of famous persons who made their way through memphis. Very worth it.

We’ve been to Memphis many times and this time decided to take a tour to learn about the history. What a great decision that was. Our guide, and I don’t remember his name, was great! Learned many things about the buildings and the history of downtown Memphis. He recommended places to eat and other things to do afterwards too.

It was a record low of 34 degrees with wind chill down to 23 degrees this morning. We were going to cancel, but we met our guide, Mike, and the tour folks arranged for a bus to take us uptown instead of walking. By dodging into several hotels, we were able to complete the trip, cold but completely satisfied. Mike was outstanding. He has a ready smile and gave Memphis history a bright side. Don't miss this trip, it is worth every penny.

This is a must while in Memphis. Kathy was an outstanding tour guide, who, not only pointed out historical landmarks, but had additional stories to add.

This tour was amazing!

The Historical Memphis Walking Tour was interesting but not a slam dunk. We did walk around downtown and it was fun but not as historical based as I would have like. The highlight was seeing the ducks at The Peabody but that is something you can do on your own.
It was a nice leisurely pace, good for my wife and I yet I hoped to see more and hear more about the history of Memphis. -
Informative and interesting. Took us to parts we would otherwise have missed.
