Meet your group at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. You'll meet your guide outside the front doors of the hotel located on Hollywood Boulevard. Come hungry to Hollywood and Highland, where your small group of no more than 7 begins its combination walking and driving sightseeing and culinary tour. Home to TCL Chinese Theater and Dolby Theater─host to the Academy Awards─this intersection is sure to dazzle with its star power. Other highlights of the tour include the Hollywood sign and the Capitol Records Building, a local landmark since 1956. While taking in Hollywood’s top sights, sample some of Southern California’s best bites from famous restaurants and neighborhood haunts.
Continue to nosh in the Melrose area, where your guide leads you through Hollywood’s trendiest stores and the restaurants where local shopping addicts refuel. As your guide engages you with interactive and entertaining commentary, make your way down the legendary Sunset Strip. An essential piece of rock ‘n’ roll history, the Strip houses famed rock clubs such as the Viper Room and Whisky a Go Go, which both have seen their fair share of celebrities pass through their doors. As a native to the area, your guide can share firsthand experiences about the history of the street and the stars it’s welcomed. This is a combination walking and driving tour with a full hour of walking at the start of the tour to view all the important Hollywood landmarks by foot and for photo opportunities
" Loteria Grill: sample regional Mexican cuisines such as mini tacos, freshly made tortilla chips and salsa and aqua frescas.
" Grub Restaurant: this hidden gem is best known for their California-style comfort food. With big flavors and portions, you'll sample their award winning 'crack bacon' quesadillas, their signature tomato bisque and hand-squeezed blueberry lemonade.
" Mozza2go: owned by famed TV chef Mario Batali, here you'll sample one of their signature pizzas
" Greenblatt's Deli: opened since 1926, this Hollywood landmark is known for their delicious deli food and extensive wine collection. Sample a warm pastrami sandwich made on rye along with a Dr. Brown's Black Cherry soda. A favorite of movie stars past and present!
" John Kelly Chocolates: this family-owned chocolate shop, located in the heart of Hollywood, specializes in making truffle fudge. You will get a tour of their kitchen as well as taste their award-winning chocolates.
" Mashti Malone's Ice Cream Parlor: a staple in Hollywood for more than 30 years, Mashti Malone's is known for traditional and gourmet flavors. Only using natural ingredients, here you will get to try their many different flavors such as lavender, orange blossom, saffron, amongst other traditional flavors such as chocolate and vanilla.
" The Confection Co-op: A friendly family-owned Hollywood bake shop known for their variety of sweet treats from cookies to cupcakes to ice cream and more. Confirmation will be received at time of booking This is a combination walking and driving tour. The first hour is a historic walking tour and the remaining three hours guests are driven to the various tasting stops, where the walking includes getting into and out of the van to the restaurants. You are encouraged to eat a light breakfast on the morning of the tour as the first tasting is approximately 1.5 hours after the start of the tour The tour requires a minimum number of passengers to operate. There is a possibility that the tour may be cancelled after confirmation if there are not enough passengers to meet requirements. In the event of this occurring you will be provided with an alternate option or full refund. Maximum of 7 passengers per booking Comfortable walking shoes are strongly advised Restrooms are available at all restaurants on this tour Please advise of any food allergies or dietary restrictions in the Special Requirements field at check out. Guests following a gluten-free diet on the day of the tour will be charged a $15 supplement, to be paid in cash to the tour guide. Our guide was delightful from start to finish and we both had a wonderful time. The tour was the perfect combination of a little bit of Hollywood glam and an emersion into some awesome food. Will not forget the Bacon ( Best in the USA ) and the Sourdough Pizza was super yummy....then there was the warm fudge straight from the commercial kitchens.. OMG !! This tour is a must do !!

I absolutely loved this tour! Our guide Trish was very knowledgeable and friendly. She arrived at the meeting place early and showed us around some of Hollywood Boulevard. The food tasting was unreal, and if you warned her of allergies ahead of time she made sure to accommodate this. By far my favourite restaurant we tried was "Grub", and I'll certainly be going back there for more food when I next return!
I would highly recommend this tour as a great way to explore Hollywood and try some of the best food in the area. -
We had an amazing tour with Trish on an unusually rainy day in LA!Despite the rain we had a great time and the food we tasted on the tour was great as was the history section! Thank you so much for a great tour!

Trish was absolutely fabulous. She gave of the highlights of West Hollywood along with several great eateries. We thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend. We never would have made it to any of these spots without Trish. Trish was prepared for everything. She had Advil for my son and a birthday candle to help celebrate my husband's birthday.

This was HANDS DOWN one of the best tours we have ever been on. Very knowledgeable and you get to know Hollywood, and it's foods SO well. Definitely recommend!!! Also, the tour guide is one of the nicest people we have ever met and is VERY accomodating.

What a fun food tour of Hollywood! A very nice small group of 7 people. We started with an hour walking tour of significant sights around the Hollywood and Highland intersection, including the iconic Hollywood sign in the hills. So much Hollywood history including walking the entryway staircase to the Dolby Theater with all the Oscar winners of Pictures of the Year prominently placed on both sides of the walkway. She explained the stars on the walk of fame, and also the hand and footprints in front of Graumann's Chinese Theater. From there we hopped into Trish's van and had a 3 hour excursion of nearby neighborhood eating establishments. that only locals would know about Gourmet quesadillas, pizza, pastrami and coleslaw with a dill pickle, chocolates, and ice cream. Just enough for a good sampling of everything! I think food tours really give you a flavor of the culture and trends in new destinations, and this did just that so wonderfully. Trish was so friendly, energetic, knowledgeable, and so prepared for the unexpected. Applause, applause..... this is a great food tour.

Trish did an outstanding job of giving us a Hollywood experience rich in Tinseltown history and culinary delights. Our group of four consisted of my husband and I who live locally and two friends from Philadelphia. Although we have lived in the area for decades, we learned so much that we never knew about the Oscars and Hollywood history. Loved learning all of the scoops! The food was yummy and creatively presented from bacon to pizza to pastrami to chocolate to ice cream! Trish did a great service in introducing us to gem eateries in the area. Transportation was very comfortable. We absolutely recommend this tour for all locals and visitors!

Even though my friends and I live in the Hollywood area; we thought taking a local tour would be fun. Trish and this tour did not disappoint. We all got to learn something new ; like baked eggs for one . And we enjoyed all the food completely. Would definitely recommend!

I loved this tour, it had it ALL!!! You get a lot in one tour Trish told us the history of Hollywood, took us up the Boulevard to different famous places and then we got to experience tasting of local foods. While along the way to the tasting, we learned more about the area. She was very friendly and constantly included us in conversation so that we could feel comfortable with our tour companions. Not to be forgotten! Our bellies were full by the end of the tour.
