Your day trip to Newburgh starts with pickup at three departure points ─ the Long Island towns of Calverton and Huntington, as well as Manhattan. Board your deluxe air-conditioned coach, and enjoy beverages and light snacks served on board during the 2-hour drive from New York City.
Look out the window and admire the magnificent beauty of the Hudson Valley, a National Heritage Area that extends 150 miles (240 km) from the northern tip of Manhattan all the way to Albany; it's home to family farms and vineyards in the country’s oldest wine-producing region.On arrival in Newburgh, head to Newburgh Brewing Company for lunch and a beer tasting. Take a seat in the taproom at this award-winning craft brewery, and enjoy food sourced from local farms. As for the beer, the taproom has plenty of options to satisfy any palate, from pale ale to porter to stout. Enjoy your brew! (Nonalcoholic drinks like soda, juice and iced tea are also available to purchase.)After lunch, board the Pride of the Hudson for your narrated cruise along the Hudson River. Unwind on the spacious sundeck or take in the scenery through the interior wraparound windows. Learn historical facts about the buildings and people of the Hudson Highlands, and see landmarks such as the picturesque Bannerman Castle, situated on Pollepel Island (aka Bannerman Island).In the afternoon, behold an impressive array of motorcycles at the Motorcyclepedia Museum. Explore two floors of exhibits featuring a collection of antique and unique motorcycles; bikes range from 1867 to the present and include Indians and Harleys. Marvel at military and police vehicles; see Japanese and British motorcycles; and discover American manufacturers like Flying Merkel and Reading Standard.
