Your Long Island bike tour starts in the town of Mattituck, where you'll meet your guides and receive your helmet and comfort bike, outfitted with a gel seat and upright riding position for ease of use, no matter your skill level.
Hop on and take off, riding at a leisurely pace along the country roads of the North Fork, a section of farmland situated between Long Island Sound and several bays. Stop occasionally to take in the coastal and farm views along the road, including Peconic Bay and Robins Island.
Before long, you’ll arrive at your first winery for a special reserve wine tasting paired with a platter of fresh fruit, cheese and crackers. (The three boutique wineries you visit change throughout the season, but may include Castello di Borghese, Lieb Cellars, Shinn Estate Vineyards, Bedell Cellars or Pellegrini.)As you pedal your way toward the next vineyard, your guides stop by one of the area’s farm stands where you have the chance to purchase local produce such as ripe, juicy peaches. Then arrive at your second winery for a gourmet picnic lunch of fresh, locally grown foods plus a dessert platter, served on the beautiful grounds of the vineyard. After lunch, make your way to the tasting room to sample the wines.Continue your tour on quiet country roads, cycling past more vineyards and farms to the third winery, where you can sample wines produced by a sustainable vineyard. From here, it’s just a short trip back to town, where you’ll drop off your bike and end your tour.
Total riding distance is 12 miles (19 km), and the route is mostly flat with some small, rolling hills. Cold drinking water is provided throughout the tour. A support vehicle follows your group for roadside assistance and to carry any purchases you make.行程概要出發地點
