Take in the beauty of the Grand Canyon by air and by land as you embark on a fixed-winged flight from Boulder Terminal to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. Along the way, you are treated to the spectacular views of the Colorado River, Hoover Dam and the beautiful Lake Mead through the large picturesque windows.
Upon landing at the Grand Canyon National Park, your tour continues by motor coach as you explore the South Rim and vistas like Bright Angel and Mather Point. You will have approximately 20-30 minutes at each stop, so you are able to take lots of photos, stroll the rim and do a spot of souvenir shopping. Included is a box lunch which you can enjoy at any point on your tour, amid the colorful and amazing beauty of the Grand Canyon.
You also have the opportunity to see the Grand Canyon from a birds eye view on a 25-30 minute helicopter flight. This flight, in a state of the art EcoStar helicopter, will take you over the widest and deepest parts of the Grand Canyon. Truly an experience not to be missed!
The Canyon is vast as it stretches 11 miles wide and over 1 mile deep. The river has cut and carved a path that exposes guests to a multitude of colors and textures that represent the history of the Earth. We took a shuttle to airplane which flew us from LA to Canyon then Hummer tour via 'Buck Wild Hummer Tours" and saw 4 amazing points. I just wish we had more time to explore. Jerry, our tour guide was from Navajo tribe and shared some of their history with us while driving. Felt tour was rushed. Connections for traveling went smoothly and boxed lunch was great! Just wished we had more time to roam and explore.
