The colorful history of the Old West comes to life in Eldorado Canyon, home to the famed Techatticup mine. On the short journey to this rustic site, you'll enjoy spectacular scenery - fields of teddy bear cholla, rare geologic formations, and an excellent photo opportunity down near the banks of Lake Mojave, the blue jewel of this isolated desert terrain.
On your professionally guided tour of the mine you'll envision the back-breaking work done by prospectors over a century ago as they chased gold veins deep into this rugged mountainside, and hear tales of yesteryear's gunfights and lawlessness that were the rule in this frontier territory. The mine is a constant 55 degrees year round - a great way to escape the summer heat!

We were the only 2 on the trip so had the vehicle to ourselves. Our Driver/Guide Jim was very knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble,a nice guy.Jim took us to the Colorado River before taking us to the Techatticup Mine where we had a guided tour inside the mine ,a really interesting experience.Would recommend this trip for a relaxing 4 hour break away from the hustle and bustle of the strip.Laurence

Found this a really great morning out. The pink tour guide had some interesting tells for the journey to and from the mine. The actual tour of mine area and the mine was great our guide joe beck had some great stories to tell and held my interest throughout. The area around the mine was full of interesting objects from old trucks, to old artifacts from bygone days. I could do this tour again!!!

This was a vey interest tour. The mine took you back in time to see the labor the gold miners put into this mine. Highlight was the long horn sheep pushing stones into the mine from above. It was cool. The guide was extremely knowledgeable.

Loved it! Our guide was full on information and gave us a taste of the off road capabilities of the Trekker. He gave us lots of information on native plants, their uses, and (most importantly) which ones to stay away from. The Techatticup Mine tour was fascinating, and the family that owns the mine has done a fabulous job. Loved the baby aliens near the stove, dead guy in mine, and the snake-sicles.

Excellent, couldn't fault this trip. Only lasted about 4 hours, including travel.
A visit to a canyon village with a knowledgeable local explaining history and relevance of mining town. Then a visit inside one of the local mines, plenty to see and lots of photo opportunities. A lovely trip. -
Trip was great the driver who picked us up from pink jeep tours was very informative and knowledgable. The family that owned the mine was great and made you feel like one of the family.great tour
