Your Kauai zipline tour takes place at a zipline course just outside the Poipu resort area and the town of Koloa, near the southeastern tip of Kauai. When you arrive, meet your zipline guides, who will give you a quick safety briefing and outfit you with all the necessary equipment and gear.
Then take to the trees for your eight-line adventure! As you soar across the lush valley from platform to platform (some as high as 200 feet in the air!) catch views of Kauai’s southern shore and the bright blue Pacific, and hear legends about Kauai from your guides.
See native vegetation like the uluhe fern and the kukui, Hawaii’s state tree; as the bright green landscape spreads out beneath you, you’ll have no trouble understanding why Kauai is called the Garden Isle! Very fun even though I was scared to death. But I had done a treetop zipline obstacle course for my first time at the age of 70 in Ohio a year ago so this was technically a piece of cake. My grandson,he took me on the treetop adventure last year daughter and son -in -law loved it too. This was a first for the D and SIL

First of all, I have never zip lined and was actually a little trepid at doing 8 of them. my wife had zip lined in Alaska and had done the 1-mile downslope. and that only took less than a minute. So I could only imagine hanging by a link hooked to a line in midair going over uneven surfaces below me. When you get the gear put on you and they clip the link that will connect to the wire that supports you, I could only think about how much it weighed. It had to not only hold me 200 lbs but also the weight of the connector which felt like 25 lbs. it was only a short ride to the hills where we quickly climbed up a slope and were at our first zipline. The guide was very instructive and then jumped off the wooden deck and was off to the other side. Then each one of us was asked to step forward and lay back and go. The fear I had was of not holding on for dear life as I had not yet figured out that the harness holds you up or I should say allows you to sit down. my first 25 yds I was pulling myself up and realized that it was hard work. so once I relaxed by grip I fell quickly into the saddle so to speak and all the tension and weight of holding me up disappeared. Then the real fun began. Realizing you can't fall out and then allowing myself to let go of one hand and film around me really loosened me up. Then I started to learn how to turn the seat in midair 90-180 degrees so I could see all around me was cool. as you go from one zipline to another they get longer and steeper. the last one you actually get to run down a ramp and just fly into the air. that was a blast. I am over 60 and wasn't sure that I needed this type of excitement. But when all is said and done, it was relaxing, energetic and just really a good way to start the day. The 2 guides were excellent and I was amazed at their ability to handle differing personalities. They stressed safety first and several times had to adjust my belt because it slipped down due to the weight of the connector. so guys, wear a heavy duty belt. Highly recommend that you try this once on Kauai and then as you travel around the country try differing zip lines. Kudos to Skyline Zipline.

Unfortunately due to weather conditions we were only able to do 5 lines instead of all 8 but it was still very fun and exciting. The tour guides, Kat and Dillon, were very good and helpful. This experience was a lot of fun.

From start to finish the staff was incredibly helpful and fun. They made sure all the equipment fit properly and that we felt secure. Definitely doing this again!
- I recently went on the 8 line zipline tour in Kauai and there is only one word I can use to describe it perfect. I was only in Kauai for 5 days, and there is already so much to do. This zipline tour is an absolute must though. First off it is completely exhilarating. The drive was so scenic and the guides were entertaining. The actual zip lining was such a rush and you never feel unsafe. We put on our gear, made the drive, and did 8 gorgeous ziplines in 2 hours leaving so much time for other activities. Great tour.

Jose and Tanner were awesome! We did 8 lines. They gave specific instructions before each one. They were very friendly and knowledgeable. We felt completely comfortable with their instruction.
