When your cruise ship docks at the Juneau port, you’ll be picked up from the cruise terminal and you’ll kick off your Alaskan experience with an informative and entertaining van ride from your Juneau hotel to the heliport to begin your amazing helicopter tour.
Enjoy stellar aerial views as you soar over rock formations and icefalls while learning about the spectacular sights from your knowledgeable pilot, who’ll act as your guide for your entire experience, including your landing and walkabout on the glacier. Make your way by helicopter to either the Herbert Glacier descending to the glacier below for the second part of your tour.
When you land, you’ll be taken on a serene walk along the glacier surface, nestled among mountain peaks blanketed in ice and snow a beautiful sight! You'll learn about your surroundings and be free to ask your pilot-guide any questions you have about Alaska’s natural history, geology, meteorology and more. Be sure to dress warmly, as it can be quite cold on the glacier.
After your time on the icefield, savor more aerial views on your helicopter flight back to Juneau. Upon landing, you’ll have the oppurtunity for final photos and time to warm up before enjoying a return van trip back to your cruise port.
Worry-free Shore Excursion:We will ensure your timely return to the Juneau port for this activity. In the rare event your ship has departed, we will arrange for transportation to the next port-of- call. We had an amazing time. We were lucky enough to have perfect weather and our pilot Michael was wonderful. He gave us a speculator view of the glacier and his narration was great! The staff on land were also quite nice and helpful.

We had great weather while on our Alaskan cruise and the day in Juneau was no different. Clear blue skies gave us beautiful views while flying to the glacier. Mike was our pilot and very helpful once we landed. I would not have brought boots for the glacier if I had known they give you boots to wear over your shoes. I thought those were optional but were not. We spent about 20 minutes or so on the glacier and about 10 mins or so flying out and back each way. I felt very safe and loved the helicopter ride as much as time on the glacier. A must do if on vacation. We were picked up at the port. The ride to the airport was longer than I thought it would be. We were able to be left off in town afterwards for eating and shopping and then caught a free bus back to the ship. A great day in Juneau.

Amanzing pilot breath taking scenery . Once in a lifetime ! Just wish it was a little longer. The weather was perfect.

This tour was an unbelievable experience, and although somewhat costly, it was WELL worth the money. The pilot and crew we're knowledgeable, friendly, and professional! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! (As many other people have commented, it was a lifetime experience!)

Loved it! Family of 4 from 7 to 50 years old. All had an incredible time! They provided "shoes" to go over our normal shoes for climbing on the ice and there were jackets if we needed them. Great to know if you are packing light. The pilot was wonderful! He was informative and friendly. The whole organization was professional and organized. Remember to call 24 hours ahead to confirm. I highly recommend this tour, in fact I want to go again!!!!

Very well-run tourist attraction. Well organized; they did not skimp on having enough staff, They offer boots with some extra traction and those turned out to be quite helpful.
