Your 6-hour Alaskan journey begins at the Juneau tram area. Enjoy the drive to your first stop: the mammoth, 12-mile-long (19-km) Mendenhall Glacier. Capture the moment, and the frozen, postcard-worthy scenery, with photos, and then learn about the natural processes that formed this area at the informative visitors center. If you’re there during the right season, you might be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the salmon rushing through the waters as they migrate to spawn. You'll spend between 40 and 60 minutes here.After a short drive to Auke Bay you’ll be introduced to your naturalist guide and captain, who will lead you on a majestic 2-hour whale-watching cruise. The blue Alaska waters serve as an underwater metropolis teeming with diverse sea life, so keep your eyes peeled for humpback and killer whales, Steller sea lions and harbor seals. Learn about these wonders from your guide as you watch them in their habitat. Enjoy onboard refreshments and a snack of local salmon spread on a bagel.Back on land, you’ll be driven to the award-winning Alaskan Brewing Company, where you’ll have approximately an hour to learn about Alaska’s rich brewing background and explore the collection of historic brewery artifacts. Sample ambers, white ales and limited edition beers while the Brew Crew illuminates the tales behind your drinks. Take home a complimentary tasting glass to commemorate the Alaska experience. Fantastic, Got very lucky! Weather was fantastic. Saw ORCAs and Humpbacks. Transportation excellent! Guides and employees friendly, informative and well involved! A great excursion for me and my family! Bad part was, I drank way to many brews at the Brewery! But hey, they were FREE! Thanks all. Until we meet again!
