Meet at the aerial gondola station at the base of Mt Roberts to begin your Juneau adventure, which starts with a 45-minute tour of the city and Douglas Island.
On board a comfortable coach, take a ride through Juneau’s downtown historic district, nestled between the mountains and the Gastineau Channel. Pass by sights like the capital building, which dates back to 1929, and St Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church, which was built in 1893 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Cross the channel onto Douglas Island, a tidal island that’s home to a ski resort and the small town of Douglas. As you circle the island in your coach, admire views of the Juneau harbor and surrounding mountains and waterways.
Back on the mainland, head to Mendenhall Glacier, about 12 miles (20 km) northwest of Juneau in Mendenhall Glacier Recreation Area, which is part of Tongass National Forest. Extending from the enormous Juneau Ice Field to Mendenhall Lake, the glacier is 12 miles (20 km) long. During 45 minutes of unguided time, explore the area on the Photo Point Trail, which follows the edge of the lake and takes you to a viewpoint where you can see the face of the glacier.
You’ll get another great photo opportunity at Nugget Creek Falls, and you can visit the Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center for more views and to browse geological displays about the glacier’s formation. Park rangers are available to provide information and answer any questions. When it's time to leave, hop back on the coach for the drive back to downtown Juneau, where you'll be dropped off at the aerial gondola station for the ride up to Timberline Bar & Grill on Mt Roberts.
Sit down to a satisfying meal of coho salmon grilled to perfection and served with seasonal vegetables accompanied by views of the mountains and Gastineau Channel from 1,800 feet (550 meters). Your tour ends here, where you can stay on Mt Roberts to explore the hiking trails at your leisure, visit the gift shop or just soak up more of the views. Take the gondola back down on your own when you’re ready.

A good way to see Juneau outside the pier. We enjoyed the Mendenhall glaciers and the lunch at Mount Roberts was excellent.

This was an excellent excursion. the trip to the Glacier was just as advertised and loved the tram up to mt. Roberts. We ate a lovely salmon dish and hiked on the mountain. excellent

This was a narrated tour of Juneau, with a sight-seeing stop of Juneau and the cruise ships. The driver, Mike, was interesting and provided some great information about the Juneau area. An improvement is needed, however, at the Mt. Roberts tram station where they had no idea what to do with the paper that the tour company gave us to ride the tram. They were very confused and this held us and other passengers who went on the tour up for about 15 minutes while they tried to sort it out. I would have thought that this was a regular tour, but they acted like they hadn't seen the types of tickets that we held before. It was an awkward ending to the tour. Mt. Roberts food is 1 star at best - I'd advise not eating there - pick a tour that just has the glacier and tram ride instead.

The tour was 44 minutes later than we were told it would start, which wasted time we could've spent browsing through the shops. Fortunately the tour was worth the wait.
The guide was personable, funny and informative, and the glacier was magnificent. We saw a field with about 30 eagles on the way to the glacier.
The restaurant workers didn't know what exactly was included in the lunch, so they had to track down the manager.

The city tour was fun and informative. The glacier was very interesting, but I wish we could have been closer - the glacier is so far from the visitor center. We really enjoyed the Mt Robert's tram - the views are beautiful. The salmon dinner was great.

Was the best! The price was so unbelievable! Dinner at the top of Mt.Roberts was fantastic, and the view was breathtaking!! Do yourself a favor... book this tour!
