Afterwards, a number of activities awaits you. Witness Doug Chilton, a Tlingit Master Carver, and his son, work on two 10-foot-tall (3-meter-tall) cedar totem poles and silver jewelry. Learn from the artisans themselves about the lore and culture behind their ancestral craft. Don’t miss the chance to purchase a unique work of art from the gift shop.
Take pleasure in roasting marshmallows at the campfire, walk up to the Salmon Creek waterfall or peek into the entrance of the historic Wagner Mine. See mining relics inside and get into the spirit by sifting for gold on your own using a nearby trough.

we enjoyed the bake. the salmon was slightly over baked but the place was clean and everyone was friendly. there was live music playing and the food was good. I even saw an eagle and got some great pictures. and they have heat lamps to keep you warm which was great because it was cold and rainy all day.

Very nice venue, good food and very helpful personnel. The weather was not the best typical Juneau but that didn't keep us from taking the excursion. The area was weather-ready with large umbrella type coverings over the food and tables. Rain or shine I would do it again.

Nice tour. Good service and the food was much better than I expected- very good in fact. A lot of fun. The waterfall was very nice. Entertainment was mediocre, otherwise this would be 5-stars.

The salmon bake was really a delightful and fun excursion. The whole experience from the beautiful location with colorful decor, trek to the waterfall, and excellent food was well worth the time!

The salmon bake is a good place to see behind the salmon bake restaurant there's a creek and it is beautiful. The Salmon is fantastic and so the other food.
