    Choose from an early or mid-morning start for your half-day or full-day whitewater rafting trip, that includes down time for you to relax during an extended lunch. After pickup from your Jackson Hole or Teton Village hotel, arrive at the boathouse where you meet your guide for a safety briefing and paddling lesson. Once you get geared up with a lifejacket, helmet and other equipment, a 25-mile (40km) drive brings you to the launching site on the river. Hop in your raft and hit the water!

    Start with smaller rapids along this classic Snake River whitewater run. Enjoy the scenery as the river passes through steep granite walls and open stretches dotted with alpine meadows and trees. You cover eight river miles (13km) total, riding through rapids categorized from class I-II to class III. Following the commands of your guide, paddle your way through spots with names like Big Kahuna rapids and Million Dollar Fishing Hole. Expect to get wet and have fun on this thrilling ride!

    Halfway through your rafting run, stop at an exclusive riverside camp that can only be accessed from the water. Here you enjoy a leisurely meal and free time to soak up the beauty that surrounds you. While your guide cooks up a fantastic lunch, you can play games, roast marshmallows, take photos, or simply relax on the riverbank. When it's ready, tuck into the tasty Dutch oven cookout that includes chili, cornbread and cobbler for dessert. Hot and cold beverages are also provided. The spectacular dining area overlooks the two biggest rapids on the river ─ a preview of your afternoon’s excitement!

    After fueling up on lunch, get ready to head out into the biggest rapids of your trip! Have more fun and thrills on the second half of your whitewater journey.

    Throughout the day, your guides shares facts about the history of the area and local flora and fauna. Watch for geological features pointed out by your guide and look for wildlife, including osprey, bald eagles and river otters. If you’re lucky, you may spot an elusive mountain goat, elk, mule deer, or bear that live in this wilderness.

    At the end of your rafting adventure, you are transferred back to your hotel to end your tour.

    My son and I had a great trip down the river. Dinner was awesome and the guide made the trip enjoyable .

    Great! Our guide William was fun and made us all feel safe. We had high water and very cold. We were suited up like Katniss in the Hunger Games. William challenged us all to jump in and everyone in my family did. My teens did several times and even road the bull -riding out on the bow of the boat. And the water was about 45 degrees.
    The cookout was fun as well. Felt very much like wilderness camp. Good chili and peach cobbler. We even saw a deer wandering by our camp site.
    Very fun. Wish it was longer.
