Choose from morning, midday or late afternoon departures. Travel by coach 25 miles (40km) to Wyoming's undulating Snake River.
Step aboard your large comfortable raft that holds up to 10 people, then set off on the calm waters of this stretch of the Snake River. Your rafting guide does all the rowing, while you gaze at the Grand Tetons in the distance and look for wildlife along the riverbank. Keep an eye out for beavers, cutthroat trout, cliff swallows, moose, deer and river otters. You may even spot the nest of a bald eagle or osprey. As you float through this dramatic scenery, your guide shares commentary on the history and geology of this part of the Rocky Mountains.
If you choose the morning trip, you will have a hearty breakfast at the boathouse before departing Jackson Hole for the river. On the midday and late afternoon tours, your guide provides a box lunch or late afternoon snack in the boat as you float along the river.
