Experience the beauty and wild side of Alaska. Enjoy an evening of adventure, food, and beauty as you embark on a 1-hour dog sled ride followed by dinner at a rustic cabin and an aurora viewing.
Start the night off by dog sledding. Experience the excitement as a team of dogs yank on their lines, carrying you away on a Northern Lights Adventure. Most of the sled ride takes place in an open area. So even if the Aurora begins early, you will have a thrilling view of the sky from the dogsled.
Following the sled ride, treat yourself to a hearty midnight dinner at an off-the-grid, rustic cabin located outside of Fairbanks and away from the city lights. As you wait for the Aurora, stay warm with hot drinks and lively conversation. The cabin's large north-facing windows offer the perfect viewing opportunity of the Northern Lights. However, should you decide to step outside for photographs or a full view of the sky, arctic winter clothing is available.

Our guide, Tony, was great! We were picked up from our hotel on time. Tony was easy to talk with and had many interesting stories to tell us. The dog sledding with Sven was awesome! It was so interesting to hear about all that goes into dog sledding and the care of the dogs. You could tell Sven loved these dogs. The dinner in the yurt was delicious. Unfortunately it was snowing so we could not see the aurora. Overall, a great night and experience. I highly recommend.

Great evening and the Northern Lights were wonderful!! Getting to meet the sled dogs including puppies and then going on the sled ride where we also saw a few Northern Lights with our musher Joey was so much fun. And Marion made us a great dinner in the yert sort of round hut that is heated - good for coming in periodically to get warm while watching the lights. Can't believe we saw such displays two nights in a row!! Justin, our guide, did a great job telling us about Fairbanks and the lights. A really memorable evening!!

Our guide picked us up at the hotel promptly and brought us over to the yurts and dog camp. We were surprised it was just us 2 which made everything more intimate and special and everyone was amazing. We were first introduced to the puppies. There were about 8 of them and only about 3 months old. We went into their enclosure, kneeled down and it was attack of the puppies. After we met some of the dog team and headed to our sleigh. We had an 8 dog team who were ready and anxious to get on our way. Our driver was great. He explained that the dogs knew the way around and can go home on their own. He gave them commands and they turned right, left, or stopped immediately. The trip was wonderful. Although dark the scenery was beautiful. They said it had rainned a few days before and the rain crystalized over the snow making it sparkle like glitter.
The dogs are all well treated and all are known by their names.
After the mushing we went to the Yurt for some amazing Hot Cocoa and dinner. Then our guide advised us there was a little bit of Northern Lights starting and was able to set up our camera to be able to take pictures. Which was great because I couldnt figure out how to manually adjust all the setting to photograph the lights. He also took pictures of us with the lights. S
If in Alaska this is a must do! -
Petting the dogs in the kennel was great, especially the puppies. Had to be careful because they pulled on anything that wasn't tied down. The ride in the sled was exhilarating and the food and companionship of the other members of the tour were wonderful. the lights were not super, but there is no way to control that feature of the trip. We did get to see some though.

We had a blast on this tour and now can check it off the bucket list. Tony picked us up and brought to Sven's where we went dog musing for an hour and then had a yummy dinner in a yurt with just the best conversation and lots of laughs. Our night ended with going outside and looking at the amazing Northern Lights. Sven, Tracy and Tony couldn't have been nicer and truly enjoy their jobs which makes for an unbelievable experience. We can't wait to go back to Fairbanks and do this tour again.

The driver was friendly and knowledgeable, our dog musher was the owner and extremely personable, the hospitality was incredible, and the food was amazing. Unfortunately the sky was too cloudy to see the lights, however this is out of their control and I would definitely recommend this tour.
