Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product
Stop At: Morris Thompson Cultural & Visitors Center, Fairbanks, Alaska
After pickup from your Fairbanks hotel, your guide will take you to the Morris Thompson Cultural and Visitor Center, located on the banks of the Chena River in downtown Fairbanks. Named after an Alaska native and political leader, this community center celebrates native Alaskan culture and natural history through interesting exhibits, indigenous art and tools and life-sized panoramas depicting Alaska’s wildlife and landscapes throughout the seasons.
Duration: 1 hour
Stop At: Alyeska Pipeline Viewing Point, Fairbanks, Alaska
You will visit the Alyeska Pipeline and learn about the great history of the pipeline.
Duration: 30 minutes
Stop At: Pioneer Park, Fairbanks, Alaska
Your guide will then take you to Pioneer Park, a 44-acre (109-hectare) park located along the Chena River that was opened in 1967 to celebrate the centennial of the Alaska Purchase. This park features many museums and attractions that commemorate early Alaskan history, such as Gold Rush Town, comprised of 35 restored buildings from the Gold Rush era; the SS
Nenana, the world's second-longest wooden-hulled ship that carried passengers and cargo along the Chena River in the mid 1900s; and the Tanana Valley Railroad Museum, featuring the oldest working steam locomotive in Alaska.
After this fascinating Alaskan cultural and historical experience, you’ll be taken back to your hotel.
Please keep in mind that some attractions are only open seasonal and adjustments can be made. We also can take additional wishes into our itinerary.
Duration: 30 minutes
Stop At: Yukon Quest International
Next, stop by the Yukon Quest Log Cabin, which houses the Alaskan headquarters of the Yukon Quest International Sled Dog Race, a grueling 1,000-mile (1,609-km) race between Fairbanks and Whitehorse. Browse dog-mushing memorabilia and purchase any souvenirs from their store to take home with you.
Duration: 30 minutes
Stop At: University of Alaska Museum of the North, Fairbanks, Alaska
After about an hour here, head to University of Alaska Museum of the North, whose immersive exhibits tell the story of Alaska’s natural, artistic and cultural heritage. Spend two hours exploring the botanical, geological, zoological and cultural collections to gain an understanding of the past, present and future issues unique to this northern region.

We had a mixed group of 6 and visited 2 cultural museums that were very interesting. Then our guide let us choose between a few other places to visit. Since my husband and i had already been to North Pole and Pioneer Village, I suggested the Auto Museum. Well it was so fasinating I could have spend the day there. In addition to the beautifully restored antique cars there were manniquins dressed in period costumes that were simply exquisite .In all it was a wonderful day and Clark was wonderful

Because one of their vans was inoperable and we might have had our tour cancelled, we agreed to go a day earlier with a guide on his day off. Clark arrived promptly and informed us we were his only passengers. He then proceeded to give us highlights of the tour and we explained what we had seen already on our own as we had a rental car, and what we would be interested in seeing. He also made suggestions and we explored Fairbanks for the next 5 1/2 hours. Clark is very knowledgeable about the past history of Fairbanks. We therefore got a history lesson with our tour. Clark, you made our afternoon a memorable one. To anyone taking this tour, ask for Clark. You won't regret it!

This was an interesting and fun tour. Our guide was Art, he was full of interesting information and very funny. There were only 3 of us on the trip so Art allowed us to decide which sights to visit. Pioneer Park was a highlight. Highly recommend this tour!

It was really a fun day and saw a lot of the City of Fairbanks. Our Guide did a great job.

Patricia was wonderful! She arrived on time and showed us things we hadn't even considered. She's knowledgeable and is environmentally concerned. It's obvious she loves Alaska.
-
A great opening experience to see Fairbanks. Our guide, Anka, was generous in answering questions and customizing the day to fit the interests of the group.
-
Our guide was fantastic and so accommodating. Her choice of where to stop for lunch also gets 5 stars.
-
We thoroughly enjoyed our Fairbanks tour. Our guide, Anke, was delightful, knowledgeable and informative. We were supposed to have a group tour, but we were the only ones, so we got a private tour. After showing us the places on the official tour, Anke asked what we wanted to see and also showed us some of her favorite places in Fairbanks and the surrounding area. What a wonderful day!

We took a private tour our tour guide, Patricia, was fantastic. She showed us a side of Alaska that we hadn't seen. Informative, relaxed and fun.

Our guide, Patricia Baer, was very informative, very personable and a fun lady to spend a few hours with. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing and learning about Fairbanks and Alaska in general. As Patricia got to know me and my friend on the tour she actually personalized a portion of the tour for us to match our interest in bird watching.
I highly recommend the Alaskan Heritage Tour - and of course if you are fortunate to get Patricia as your guide the tour will be excellent!
